We haven’t beaten A&M since they joined the SEC. With Texas joining I wondered which team we’ll beat first. We’ll have at least one more game against A&M before possibly playing the Longhorns. Could possible play four more. So who do we beat first?

And while I don’t like the expansion, you better believe I’ll be in Austin for our first road trip there. Hell, the food alone is worth the trip.

Welcome to another edition of Gamecock Central Braves Baseball ⚾️ Chat 💬. I am your host @Pfunk Cock along with a plethora of regular participants in the chat. I am exhausted and not feeling well but I feel an obligation to provide coverage for the Chat Fam. Just dealing with family ordeal that came out of the blue and required a stressful amount of energy and attention to resolve. Drained but resilient (sounds like my bank account)😎 I am here for you until o cannot function.

Last night was an exciting but frustrating game as we keep squandering good pitching and scoring opportunities. The sign of a good well coached team is the win Loss record in one run games and if you follow the Braves you know we are weighed heavily on the losing side of those contest. A lack of clutch hitting and a dismal bullpen performance during the season has kept this team below sea level all season. I cannot remember a season where the team has never been above the break even point this late in the season and still have an opportunity to prevail on the division race, but time is running out and treading water is just not going to be the formula for success this season. The Braves have been diligent on their pursuit of a bat but Big Market teams are usurping their efforts. The Yankees basically stole Joey Hallo from the Braves at the last second with what must have been an overwhelming offer at the last moment and that leaves a gaping hole in the Braves batting order. This team needs run producers in a bad way and AS will have to bring out the big guns and Bog Boy Pants to get something done. He may have to part ways with a few prospects but hopefully OT would be for a present and future talent to solidify the lineup in a productive way the rest of the season.

Today is an afternoon affair and the Braves will throw Drew Smyly against Tijuana Walker RHP. Walker is a very good pitcher who has struggled his last two outings and the Braves hope he has not corrected his flaws as they need to establish dominance early and often to Escapr New York with a winning series record.
