Satterfield

I am absolutely loving this hire so far. If you haven't seen the interview he just did in the birdies with beamer golf event, check it out. He knows his stuff, and you could see him light up when talking about Doty and our receivers. Loved hearing that he's not about that Dinking and dunking non sense we saw all of last year. let's move pound the rock and throw it down field.

GO COCKS.

OT: RIP Pavlov's

Pavlov's has been temporarily closed for months as a casualty of the "War Against Five Points," but it's about to be permanently closed.

This is the loss of a Columbia institution. Pavlov's had previously been recognized as one of the Best College Bars in America by numerous publications, such as USA Today, Business Insider, Daily Meal, and Yahoo!

Easy Peasy SEC Scheduling……..

Move Alabama and Auburn to East. Would add more balance to the SEC. West has been so much better than the East for a long time. Also would make geographic sense.

Play 1 East Rival (Permanent) for USC it makes sense for that to be Kentucky
Alabama vs. Auburn, Florida vs. Georgia, Tenn vs. Vandy, USC vs. Kentucky

Play 1 West Rival (Permanent) for USC it makes sense for that to be Arkansas
Texas vs. Texas A&M, Ole Miss vs. Miss State, LSU VS. Missouri, Arkansas vs. Oklahoma

Play 5 Other East Teams Home and Home (on rotation)
Play 2 Other West teams Home and Home (on rotation)
Play Clemson Home and Home
Play 2 more quality opponents

East
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vandy

West
Arkansas
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Missouri
Oklahoma
Texas
Texas A&M

OT: When I was say 7 years old....

some 65 yrs. ago going to the movies was super exciting. I remenber there was always a weekly chapter of some "cliffhanger" movie which only 4-6 minutes long.

I couldn't wait to come back next week to see how the good guys would excape from certain disaster. I remember one series about a black hooded train wrecker.

Anyone have an idea if any of these old time series are still around for viewing? It would be great fun!

Let's lighten things up a bit. Just for giggles, check out my proposed questions for members.

These are the questions. At the barbecue today, which will include around 150 visitors and players on the roster, guess the following:

1. How many pounds of barbecue will be consumed today? (Big clue: guess over 70 and don't leave out the coaches)
2. Which player will consume the most? (Big clue: choose a big lineman, I leaning towards an OL)
3. How many pounds will the player from question 2 will eat? (I don't have a clue)
4. Which coach will eat more barbecue than all the coaches on staff? (I wouldn't assume it will be the largest coach)
5. How many visitors will stay longer than usual just to eat more barbecue? (Some for sure)
6. Is there a visitor or roster player that doesn't like barbecue? (I hope not because he will be getting barbecue in the future)
7. Will there be a visitor that will be eating barbecue for the first time? (Consider player(s) outside the sunny South)
8. Bonus question: Name the player on our roster that will eat the most. This question is worth the total of 3 of the other questions.

Good luck. I'm expecting some hilarious answers. Please don't disappoint. Feel free to add questions.

Academic rankings within the SEC

With all of the realignment talk, there has been quite a bit of discussion about academic standing (primarily in another thread about West Virginia's abysmal #241 ranking, and how that drastically reduces its chances of receiving an invitation to the ACC or Big 10). It got me to wondering how SEC schools stack up. Here is a listing of academic rank among SEC institutions from US News.

USC ranks in the upper half (#7) in the SEC, and just below the average ranking of 112.

  • 14 - Vanderbilt
  • 30 - Florida
  • 47 - Georgia
  • 66 - A&M
  • 97 - Auburn
  • 112 - Tennessee
  • 118 - South Carolina
  • 124 - Mizzou
  • 133 - Kentucky
  • 143 - Alabama
  • 153 - LSU
  • 160 - Ole Miss & Arkansas (tied)
  • 206 - Miss State

Texas ranks #42, while Oklahoma ranks #133

Twin Sisters from Fresno St. Basketball Team Get Paid

Shocking that these ladies would get an endorsement deal so fast...LOL

Shows you how much hotness matters in the social media world. The twins have over 3.3 million followers on TikTok. To all you guys talking about local deals, that's small potatoes. Non-revenue generating sports athletes with the right social media setup (aka influencers) are going to get crazy money.
