We hVe come to the time of new beginnings. We seek the break even point and will use it to catapult us into the Furious Flushing Fiasco starting tomorrow afternoon. Today we flex 💪🏾. After a night of 5 homers and explosions all over the batting order , the Braves will look to secure a series win and some possession of second place. This is the break even part of the schedule and the starting pistol 🔫 of the sprint to postseason play. A win today and a Mets loss would put the Braves at a 3 game deficit going into a 5 game series with a chance to make a serious statement and send fear throughout the Mets Fanbase aka The Braves Haters Club. 😎😎 but first things first!

The Braves will throw Touki Toussaint today in his second start of the season. If hi looks as good as he did Tuesday I like our chances. The 25 year old may have the best stuff in the organization and with his pitch variety he has sometimes resulted in the Jack of all trades and the master of none philosophy.😎😎 Sometimes less is better. The meaning of that last phrase is control over variety. Concentrate on fewer pitch options and perfect the ones you do throw. Fastball command is a must and the key to unleash other pitches. He should come out and establish his fastball again and then offset that with his excellent breaking balls. In limited appearances against the Phillies Toussaint has had success this far and hopefully that trend will continue throughout his career.
He Phillies will counter with Aaron Nola who is a very good pitcher but is having a subpar season. The Braves hit him hard the last time they faced him and will look to continue the second half offensive surge. I like our chances again today as we start the push to reclaim what is ours by right as ordained by the baseball Gods. 😎😎 All Hail The Baseball Gods!😂😂😂😂

I have posted a number of times saying that Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are joined at the hip and if you take one, you have to take the other concerning joining a new conference. I was right concerning the past but wrong concerning the present. So I apologize for not getting an update to the status concerning the 2 Oklahoma schools and their new change of conference method. The linked article is up to date and extremely interesting. I recommend that you read the entire article since it is packed with good information. A lot has changed since 11 years ago when the 2 Oklahoma schools were attached at the hip at the time that Texas and Oklahoma were rumored to be leaving for the SEC. Some stumbling blocks are discussed. Chris linked this for me today.

OK, which one of you fans paid the big bucks to get the media member who voted USC the SEC East and SEC Champs? Are these votes public record?

Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, Notre Dame. If you take 4 these should be it. Have every major player over the last 10 yrs but Clemson .

It’s been a good while since they’ve been elite. Most years they will be a 2nd tier SEC team. Good but won’t challenge for the SECCG (or whatever the future format will be). If in the league now, they would only be the second best team in their own state in the SEC. Seems they’re ok with that and just want the SEC money.

If I’m A&M I’m licking my chops and getting a piece of them on the field. It wouldn’t be a close game.

to join another conference (e.g., the Big 10, or PAC)? They really don't need the SEC money, and another conference might provide an easier path to the playoffs. Just a thought.

Last night was a sluggish defensive effort as the team played out of sync. Hopefully they have adjusted from the travel day blahs and get back to the chase. Sisyphus has to push the rock 🪨 back up the hill again and break this damn curse known as 2021 of baseball.
First order of business has been a forgone conclusion to many in the chst but it has now become a reality. Ender Inciarte has been reinstated from the IL and DFA’d . The Inciarte chapter of Braves Baseball has come to a bittersweet ending. That reinforces pending moves that requires a roster spot on the 40. Farewell Ender and thank you for your contributions to the Atlanta Baseball Braves.
The Braves will throw Smyly tonight against the Phillies Velasquez. Smyly has been very good recently and let’s hope he can give us some length in innings pitched tonight. He is good for about 85-90 pitch count and not a fraction more so that will have to be monitored. The Phillies are a patient hitting ball club so he will have to throw strikes and avoid prolonged counts.
Velasquez is a decent pitcher but the Braves top of the lineup has hit him well and the bottom of the lineup has never seen him. I think Nee will be able to put up some runs tonight and Smyly will give us enough to get the W.

some conference is going to take them, in fact most conferences would love to have them. So, does the SEC take them before one of the other conferences accepts them thus making the other conference better than the SEC. Example if the BIG took them then that might make them a better football conference than the SEC! It's just a thought I had I don't know what is going on with the powers that be. LOL!
