Carolina Football has a different tone right now. Of course there hasn't been a single snap, but there is a definite new energy that has been touched on by @Wes Mitchell and @Chris Clark and so many others for months now. Back in January I was wrestling with what that change in energy could be attributed to. Rightly or wrongly, I came to this conclusion -- Beamer is changing the narrative and mindset that Carolina is elite because of -- not in spite of -- itself.

I have done a lot of stupid things in my life, but marrying my wife 44 years ago was not one of them. I am such a lucky man in so many ways to have a wife that keeps me straight, is still beautiful in so many ways, and my best friend. You go through an awful lot of good times and bad times in this long but the good far outweigh the bad (and making up is so much fun). She has been a great wife, mother, and now grandmother and has done a fantastic job in all of them. I am a blessed and lucky guy!

MI-6 will be playing in the Steel City this year.

Does anyone have any recommendations on historical nonfiction? I was kind of interested in learning about the east India company but I’m open to suggestions. Please no WW2 or civil war recommendations. Those portions of history have been beat to death for me and while interesting times, I’m more interested in learning something new. I’m going to the beach so I need some reads. Thanks guys
