The State's Ben Portnoy article from yesterday......

Ben writes about splitting the carries evenly between Harris, Loyd and White and basically anoints Lloyd the starter role.

I pray that Lloyd and White rock it this year.......but look at these numbers below for 20+ yard plays last year

Harris - all runs - 20,25,28,32,33,44,45,46,49, 59, 88 11 20+ yard plays 6.2 yd avg 15 TD's on 185 touches

Our entire receiving corps - 20,20,20 21,22,24,25,27,29,29,30,35,36,42,49, 57. 16 20+ yard plays.

Give Kevin Harris his respect. He has earned it on the filed.

Any mechanic geniuses here?

Was out of town last week and car A/C blew up. Was way too hot to drive back like that so took it to a local shop where they replaced the compressor, condenser and expansion valve. All seemed hunky dory. Got home and noticed there didn't seem to be any difference when I pressed the "recirculate" button. Dropped the glove box and saw that the flap which controls whether you're using outside air or cabin air was in the recirculate air position. When I pressed the recirculate button, nothing happened. It stays in the recirculate position. Figured maybe the guy didn't connect things back properly. Pressed some of the other buttons to see if it was working to change where the air came out of (vents, feet, dash). That all works fine. But, here's the weird part. If I push the button to have the air be only on the feet or feet/dash or just dash, the flap moves to the outside air position. If I switch the air to come out of the vents, the flap moves back to the recirculate air position.

So, the recirculate motor is connected, getting power and working. Just nothing happening when I press the recirculate air button. It has to be connected in some way to the work that was done.

For the life of me I can't figure it out. It's connected. Is getting power. And works under certain conditions. There is no fuse that or relay that specifically controls the recirculate function.

2013 CR-V.

What time today is the dork resigning?

Back it up you goofy lookin' bastard.

Swinney offered the following opinion to the Charleston Post & Courier: “We try to teach our guys, use football to create the opportunities, take advantage of the platform and the brand and the marketing you have available to you. But as far as paying players, professionalizing college athletics, that's where you lose me. I’ll go do something else, because there's enough entitlement in this world as it is.”

Best of Shane Beamer Football Camp 2021 - by position

We wrap this year's sessions of Shane Beamer Football Camp with a look at the best prospect I saw roll through camp at each position.

BEST BY POSITION

QB: Dylan Lonergan, 2023, Brookwood (GA) - There were several quarterbacks that could have picked up the designation, but my personal nod goes to this talented rising junior out of the Peach State. Lonergan, also a standout baseball pitcher, showed arm strength, accuracy, and an easy throwing motion throughout his camp workout early in the month.

RB - Traevon Dunbar, 2024, Silver Bluff (SC) - This young in-state back tested well and appeared to move around very well during drills. He's a potential early offer candidate for the Gamecock staff as he continues to develop and progress. There will be plenty to see this coming season; Dunbar already had a big year for Silver Bluff in 2020 as a freshman.

WR - Kylic Horton, 2022, Clarendon Hall (SC) - While there were some other wideouts that rolled through camp this season and put on strong performances, it seems fitting to slot Horton here. He's an in-state guy that earned his offer at camp after two days of quality testing, drill, and one-on-one work. His size, length, natural ability, and testing (4.47 40 yard dash, 39 inch vertical) are quite intriguing.

TE - Jack Larsen, 2024, Charlotte Catholic (NC) - We had heard a lot about this North Carolina youngster coming in, and he didn't disappoint. While he'll continue improving in testing metrics, there's already a lot to like here. He was a natural catching the football and running routes. He likewise earned an offer from the staff, the first in a line of several.

OL: Monroe Freeling, 2023, Oceanside Collegiate (SC) - Freeling would have a strong argument for the best prospect we saw work out in camp last month, regardless of class or position. He was that good moving in drills and in one-on-ones. Freeling looks to be the total package as an offensive tackle prospect.

DL: Will Norman, 2023, St. Thomas More (CT) - Another rising junior standout, Norman did plenty of talking during his workout session but backed it up with his play. He won every rep that we saw in one-on-ones, most in dominant fashion. He picked up an offer at the conclusion of the day, and has many top programs around the country now after him.

LB - Nick Emmanwori, 2022, Irmo (SC) - There were not many guys that came through camp that were more physically impressive than Emmanwori, a local product that picked up an offer (and recently committed) after his camp day in Columbia. He was a legitimate 6-foot-3 and over 200 pounds, with safety movement skills but potential linebacker size. The testing numbers were quite good, and his work during one-on-ones - finalized by a leaping interception - sealed the deal for his offer.

DB - Anthony Rose, 2022, Miami Central (FL) - There was a buzz within South Carolina's indoor facility when it was discovered that Rose was in town and set to work out, simply because there was so much intrigue to his game and his recruitment at the time. Now back in the fold as a Gamecock pledge, Rose didn't disappoint. He turned in a 4.47 forty-yard dash despite a subpar start, the size checked out, and he performed very well in one-on-ones. Rose had at least a couple interceptions in one-on-ones on the day. His length, coverage skills, and speed make him a quality prospect.

Which college athlete would’ve profited the most from NIL?

Let’s say for the sake of discussion that the current NIL guidelines had always been in place. Which college athlete would’ve profited/benefitted the most?
Tebow?
Cam?
Shaq?
Bush?
Zion?
Manziel?
Vince?
Deion?

I’m not really asking to choose between the names listed above. Those are just a few names that popped in my head.
Who would you say?
