CLEMSON, S.C. — Well, here we go. The first nine games are out of the way, the intensity is about to ramp up significantly and the Gamecocks are about to find out how good they really are. The best rivalry in college baseball is back for another season, as South Carolina starts its annual three-game series against Clemson.
Doug Kingsmore Stadium will have a sellout crowd, the student section is already full, the tailgate lots were absolutely loaded and the weather is great. Blake Jackson is back in the lineup, as is Talmadge LeCroy behind the plate. Of course the two former Tigers Hall and Nawrocki are in, and Matthew Becker is on the mound.
