he refuses to make major changes in the off season, new OC, new line coach, new QB for starters. SC is the only program in the SEC that accepts mediocrity. Look at Tenn, they fired three coaches in just a few years and insisted on the athletic dept finding the right one. Two seasons later look where they are. SC FANS STOP SUPPORTING A LOUSY PROGRAM>>>>>>

I havent seen any post game interviews but I hope Beamer was less defensive and more apologetic about our performance last night.
He looked pissed on the sideline most of the time. Just wondering if that carried over to after the game.

He was very apologetic. Laid the blame on poor coaching by himself and his staff. Thought he had the players ready but obviously not. As an aside, I vaguely remember Satterfield was hired on a Two-year contract, of which this is the second year. If so, it would make sense to replace him at season’s end.

It took gutting the entire athletic department for us to finally get it right again though. We also got a new university president who has always been a vol fan and a new chancellor that wasn’t afraid to tell some boosters that she appreciated their investment but not their meddling or politicking. We basically had to burn the whole thing to the ground and even then, a majority of the fans hated the Heupel hire.

One thing the past 20 years have painfully taught me is that you have to have great leadership that is pulling in the same direction And coaching matters as much or maybe even a little more than stars.

Heupels offense is far less complicated. So the 18-20 yr olds can play fast and confident

WITH Loyld and CBS having lagging injuries, why not move Leggette to Runing back Leggette is bigger and stronger than JUJU
Because Satterfields offense is wildly complex. Moving a WR to RB would take a whole semester to learn the pass protections, motions, audibles, etc; Its too complex. But your idea is correct, but a great athlete there, play fast and simple, exactly how Tennessee is doing it

Discussing the firing of Beamer this year is premature, imo. But he will sink his own ship if he keeps Satterfield. A third year of bad offense and the players transferring out will couple with recruits avoiding us to create a bad talent gap.

We're going to be having the same conversation next year with Beamer that we had with Satterfield this year. When it's pretty evident you're going to need to fire them after the next season, you might as well fire them after the current year.

It was pretty obvious Satterfield wasn't going to be successful last year. Instead of just cutting ties, we gave him an extra year and how did it work out? The same is going to apply with Beamer next year. The only reason to justify the Beamer hire was that he supposedly had a great network and could hire great coordinators. That didn't happen in the first round of hires. Satterfield is a clear bust and I think the only reason White isn't getting more heat is how badly Satterfield has performed.

What makes anyone think Beamer is going to hit on a good hire at OC this offseason? Now, not only are you trying to hire a OC with an inexperienced HC the inexperienced HC's seat is already starting to warm. The dysfunction is starting to creep up with Bell's mom and Rattler's comments. It's only going to get worse if we lose to UF, UT and Clemson badly. What good OC is going to want to take that risk?

It may seem early, but it's the right decision. Will it work out? Who knows. But you're better off offering Garrett Riley the HC job and being bold than just sitting through slow fail with Beamer.

I don’t want to add fuel to the fire here. But if a series firings happen- the name Ray Tanner not only needs to be on the list. But at the very top of it!

That could be the selling point.

"Ray, you can save your legacy by firing Beamer now and hiring Riley."

I won't say by name but there is one person on some of these boards that is a big time Satterfield supporter that said last year when everybody was saying fire Satterfield and then Rattler committed, he said we would see how good Satterfield's offense could be 🤣

I agree with pretty much everything. I just think the people making the decisions aren't even entertaining the idea of firing Beamer this year. Satterfield will be axed, and a sort of reset will happen, starting a new clock. Muschamp did this a few times.

I find particular humor in that one. "Next year, with a quality qb, THEN we'll be able to judge Satterfield". I think he even said the offense would be ranked in the 50's, and people would supposedly still complain.

Well, as of today it's ranked 99, and suddenly this year isn't a good judge, but NEXT year is.

While I do not feel that firing Beamer shortly after this season is the answer, simply because we still have Vandy, a should win that would make us bowl eligible and with our luck we'd probably draw Wofford in the Idaho Potato Bowl and end up with a winning record. I would have to take your side in a "You have to decide one way or the other, right here right now." scenario.

What I sincerely believe is that, starting today, for the next 2/3 years Tanner must dedicate 24/7/365 to the search for that one-in-a-million head coach and should he find them, then get rid of Beamer AND staff immediately, whether it be mid-season, bowl weekend or the night before the first game of a new season.

We got Holtz, we got Spurrier, hell even throw in Pepsodent Paul Dietzel, all National Championship Winners, to come to Carolina. If we don't look, we're not going to find that next Hall of Fame Coach. If we don't try to make it happen ....... It ain't gonna happen.

If this does continue for another year, as you said the task of keeping and brining in talent will be very difficult. With that said, sadly based on past experience, it would seem doubtful any changes would be made.

Auburn just fired their coach. I wish our athletic department was like that, if you aren't producing positive results, look for another job. Our problem is that we sit and wait and wait and wait and wait and before you know it, 5 seasons have passed and we have dug a deeper hole. The next thing that needs to be done now that we are USC again, is for the president to fire Ray Tanner and get an AD that is hardnosed and expects positive results

completely agree, but I will say that Ray Tanner is a big part of the problem

Isn't Tanner supposed to be on the way out soon via retirement? I'd far prefer someone else do the searching if/when we make any more changes. Tanner was a great coach and is a great representative of the University. However, he hasn't seemed to be a good evaluator of coaching talent.

My friend, it is a well known phenomenon known as the Peter Principal, to which the malady rises one to a level of incompetence. I deleted the rest of my post simply so the uneducated may display their ignorance and prove my point.
