Yep. Oregon has better talent and looks like they will slowly but surely pull away. LU OL having trouble with their DL.Missed the extra point, so only got 6, but they have held Oregon to a FG and forced a punt for Oregon's 2 possessions.
Probably. Its a Gamecock tradition hahaDid wittle Burch opt out
Yep. Looking like we did in the 2010 SEC championship, their biggest game in school history and just totally collapsingOregon pouring it on now. I thought it was an odd matchup, but I guess TPTB didn't think Oregon would fare well against the available power 5 teams with similar records.
All one had to do was look at Oregon's schedule where they destroyed P5 schools that have P5 recruited talent. This match-up never made competitive sense.
A Top 10 team, I believe. While I expected Chadwell to do better(and lost money at the casino today because I bet on him), at this point it should be obvious that Oregon was a very very good team.
Thankfully, lower tier FBS schools will take up only one, possibly two, of the 12 team spots. I can only conclude that the "powers" felt compelled to throw a bone to the non-Power 5 schools in order to get an expanded playoff system. The 6 highest ranked conference champions will get automatic spots. The remaining 6 spots will go to the highest ranked teams. Yes, one or two spots will go to a "Liberty". But 10 or 11 of the spots will go to a "Georgia" and "Oregon".
True. They are accepting 2 non-deserving teams in order to get 10 deserving teams. It's sort of like to marry Jennifer Garner, you have to take in her 3 kids as your step-children.Agreed. Except one thing. The top 6 conferences were a nice way of saying the P5 conferences and a single champion from the G5.
With the demise of the P12, that's now going to give us 2 G5 champions, unfortunately.
Yep, watched a lot of that game. Liberty was totally overmatched. Had watched Oregon and Washington earlier in the year. Great game. However, thought Liberty would have shown a little more competitiveness. Total blow out.Obviously, not Top 25 and not worthy of the Fiesta Bowl. Even with the opt outs, Oregon would have beaten them by 60 if they wanted. G5 teams shouldn't be anywhere near the playoffs or bigger bowls unless they schedule and beat a couple of P5 teams. Beating nobody all year shouldn't get you in a NY6 bowl. What a joke.
Yep especially seeing how Washington looked. Oregon may have been the 3rd best team in America, just lost twice the one of the top 2 best this yearWhile I expected Chadwell to do better(and lost money at the casino today because I bet on him), at this point it should be obvious that Oregon was a very very good team.

Oregon was about the same team they were last season. They can't seem to beat Washington.
UGA blew the doors off Oregon last year and would probably have done the exact same thing this year.
There are levels to success in college football and they aren't congruent.
Oregon was clearly better this season than they were last year.
Because they won an extra game this season not having to play UGA?
They actually beat better ranked competition in 2022.
No worse than Georgia/TCU.Pairing Oregon w/ Liberty was the biggest bowl mismatch ever.
