Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl vs #8 Oregon. Just took opening drive for a TD up 7-0.

Missed the extra point, so only got 6, but they have held Oregon to a FG and forced a punt for Oregon's 2 possessions.
Yep. Oregon has better talent and looks like they will slowly but surely pull away. LU OL having trouble with their DL.

And before section 509 chimes in with “if they caint handle that they aint SEC ready” well sure, LU recruits around 100th. I wanted their coaches not their players haha

Oregon pouring it on now. I thought it was an odd matchup, but I guess TPTB didn't think Oregon would fare well against the available power 5 teams with similar records.

Yep. Looking like we did in the 2010 SEC championship, their biggest game in school history and just totally collapsing

Liberty losing their virginity to dirty Refs
Two missed face mask calls
One non-interception called an interception

I would still hire Chadwell in a skinny minute TODAY. Some of our fans are bellyaching and making excuses about next year's schedule. Ole Miss has nearly a comparable schedule except for playing Clemson. The talk is that Ole Miss will be pre-season Top 5 nationally. And while Missouri does not have as difficult a schedule, they are talking about making the playoffs next season. We, on the other hand, are talking about hoping for 6-6. We should be talking about winning 8 or 9 games in Beamer's 4th season. But you shoot for mediocre results .... you get mediocrity. Bet Chadwell would win 8 or 9 games for us next season.

Obviously, not Top 25 and not worthy of the Fiesta Bowl. Even with the opt outs, Oregon would have beaten them by 60 if they wanted. G5 teams shouldn't be anywhere near the playoffs or bigger bowls unless they schedule and beat a couple of P5 teams. Beating nobody all year shouldn't get you in a NY6 bowl. What a joke.

Thankfully, lower tier FBS schools will take up only one, possibly two, of the 12 team spots. I can only conclude that the "powers" felt compelled to throw a bone to the non-Power 5 schools in order to get an expanded playoff system. The 6 highest ranked conference champions will get automatic spots. The remaining 6 spots will go to the highest ranked teams. Yes, one or two spots will go to a "Liberty". But 10 or 11 of the spots will go to a "Georgia" and "Oregon".

Agreed. Except one thing. The top 6 conferences were a nice way of saying the P5 conferences and a single champion from the G5.

With the demise of the P12, that's now going to give us 2 G5 champions, unfortunately.

True. They are accepting 2 non-deserving teams in order to get 10 deserving teams. It's sort of like to marry Jennifer Garner, you have to take in her 3 kids as your step-children.

Yep, watched a lot of that game. Liberty was totally overmatched. Had watched Oregon and Washington earlier in the year. Great game. However, thought Liberty would have shown a little more competitiveness. Total blow out.

While I expected Chadwell to do better(and lost money at the casino today because I bet on him), at this point it should be obvious that Oregon was a very very good team.
Yep especially seeing how Washington looked. Oregon may have been the 3rd best team in America, just lost twice the one of the top 2 best this year

Oregon was about the same team they were last season. They can't seem to beat Washington.

UGA blew the doors off Oregon last year and would probably have done the exact same thing this year.

There are levels to success in college football and they aren't congruent.

Oregon was clearly better this season than they were last year.
