True. But even with the poor shooting, we were still up 12 when Saxton was in there. Lele's minutes have been pretty bad.
If we could shoot 3s just decently we would win it all. With that said, yes we have beat a ton of good teams but when we play these good teams in the tournament I think it could be a different story. These are the best teams in my opinion other than lady G’s. I would say Stanford ( I know we beat them but there really good), Arizona, Louisville and Indiana
This is my only real criticism of Dawn. I've never understood why we don't recruit an elite shooter. But I guess she just loves to grind away in the post.
But those are the teams we struggle with are the ones who can trade our 2s for 3s.
Saxton minutes has been reduced due to foul trouble. So I understand why she's not playing as much.
But yeah Lele minutes are rough and she can't buy a basket to save her life. I think Dawn is experimenting too early and too much in the rotation and that's why we're only up 2 instead of 20.
Where is Zia tonight? Somebody has to be able to hit a jump shot from further than 10 feet that doesn't have a last name of Boston. It boggles my mind that any team would ever play anything but zone against us.
I think Feagin would have done better, but coach is giving Lele a chance to shake off the rust. But, yeah, the time for experimenting is over.
That was my thought process as well, or even Cardoso. Games like this show the importance of both Saxton and Amihere.
The problem with zone is it's difficult to defensive rebound well out of it. And Carolina had 26 offensive rebounds. That's an absolutely insane number.
Stanford didn't play zone last year against us in the tournament.
Saxton has really turned it on lately. She been shooting it better and with more purpose and she has been perfect from the free throw line the past two games.Yikes!!!
We absolutely murdered them when Saxton and/or Cardoso was in the game with Boston.
As for Cardoso I have liked the improvements she has made. She has great hands and passing skills and had made better finishes at the rim then she had earlier in the season. Defensively she could still use some work, but I'm happy she was able to draw a charge.
Our biggest goal, which I guess Dawn is trying to force is the bench play. We have to get them up to speed, because the dropoff is disappointing. I really hope our freshmen can see some success on the court sooner rather than later.
Yes, she's been great. Just need to stay out out of foul trouble.
What are you talking about? I disagree with people all the time on here. I only call one person a troll. I'm here celebrating when my team wins by 20. Some people aren't. Really makes you think, doesn't it?
We only had 2 in first half vs UK last game
26 offensive rebounds for Carolina to 15 defensive rebounds for A&M. We have 7 different players who had more offensive rebounds than they did defensive rebounds. 😮
Great game between LSU and Mizzou. LSU winning by 2 points in the OT. Not sure what was going on the bench during that game; the LSU players looked like they were ready to fight each other.
This poor shooting is going to bite them in another game. Beal just doesn't look for a shot anymore. Grissett can't make lay ups. Practice up ladies.
Great game. Cardoso was very nice tonight. She still needs to get stronger but that will come in time.

LSU players complain after every call. Sometimes the officials make the right call, and they still complain. Multiple times I noticed they were yelling at each other. On one play LSU players were fighting for a loose ball and the ball accidently went out of bounds and one of the players acted like her world just ended. Started screaming at the other player.
During a timeout, it looked like things got heated with the Louisiana State players while they were huddled up at the bench.
They're a reflection of their coach, who's extremely emotional (to say the least). She always complains about every call. Of course, it's hard to argue with the results she's had over her career. In the moment last night, though, it was a bad look.
Another shooting funk. At least she hit her last 3. I have to say, most took good shots, they just bounced off the front or back rim. And off course the missed underneath chip shots.
We were +29 when she was on the court. Zia is not a problem. As the announcers pointed out Dawn said some players are hesitant to shoot. She's not talking about Zia. Cooke takes tough shots because other players pass up wide open looks. Destanni is shooting over 38% from 3 after last night. She should do it more.
