Pitching is worst we have had in many, many, many years. Who should our next coach be? Or does clueless Tanner give Kingston a raise?

I'm going with the latter because Ray always takes the easy way out. They maybe could have locked down hosting a regional this weekend but instead are trying to avoid a sweep. Then go to #1 UT next weekend.

Maybe so.

Not sure we can do better. But this series has been a disaster.

These two teams aren't remotely on the same level. Not even in the same universe.

We could play Georgia 20 series and we wouldn't win one.

What I saw in uga was a well coached, mechanically sound, confident team. At no point did they ever look concerned with who they were playing against. Perhaps they will drop their guard today given they have already won the series.

Why would they? They look very natural and relaxed at what they do and that's mash! I don't see a pitcher that we have left who can change that!

They are not worried about whether or not they can exicute. That is clearly obvious. I'm guessing no matter who they are facing

This team is a lot better than what these coaches are getting out of them. There is a lot of talent on this team. I have no doubt about that. I hope Ray can see it. At this point it's all that matters.

Well, plenty of work to do around the house. Now I won't have to be bothered by baseball. See, its a win to lose a lot... I feel bad for the fans of teams with good baseball programs. When do they find time to tidy up and do chores?? We should think Kingston and Ray for being God awful at their jobs.

Carolina is several seasons late on departing ways with Kingston. The same with Ray Tanner, he does not need to be an A/D. Tanner will let a program get to the point of no return before he does anything.

Much as I hate to say it, it's time to part ways with Bev Smith while we're at it. Change for change sake in both sports. These kind of results have gone on long enough.

And what about Frank's BOY??? 5-7 this year & NEXT unless Jesus comes off the cross and we go 6-7... at BEST for the NEXT 2 seasons.

That's a tough one. Best wait for next year to get here first. This I know, Ray has to go before a new football coach is named. If he wants to fire Beamer and appoint an interim, ok.

I've said this for a few years, the softball team has made one super in her over 10yrs at the helm. I look at Duke and hillbilly tech, their programs are 7yrs old and they are miles ahead of us already.

What I'm tired of with both programs is sucking in conference. As for softball, I knew hillbilly tech was going to be good. They are based in a hotbed of talent. Duke surprised me but a lot of folks think they are overrated as far as conference champs go. We will see how good the acc is soon enough. I feel we lucked up going to their regional. That said, what I want and really all I care about is a better showing in conference. I dont give a rip about being ranked say 20th in the nation if we are 11th in the conference. I'm tired of it.

Did he say why we didn't play our azz off?
Good question. We had a lot riding on that series and choked. I'd love to think we'll go to Knoxville with a fire lit under our rears but I'm expecting to lose 2 or all 3 games honestly. That's the confidence I have in a Kingston-coached team.

I think this team has "MAILED IT IN"... They will be swept in Knoxville and Quick out in SEC tourney (not 100% sure they are even guaranteed in there)...

Nothing changes until the AD and the trustees, and the culture of mediocracy are changed. Ray can fire Kingston but he has proven after Holbrook and Kingston that we can't trust him to hire a good coach.

Yet Ray gets an extension from the BOT. He was unqualified for the job from the start but the school got lazy and made an internal hire. I think only one AD had a longer tenure than Ray at Carolina (Rex Enright 1938-1955). Ray's gonna milk that $1M salary for as long as possible. All about the money. McGee and Hyman were much better AD's.
