I truly hope I'm wrong and this works out for us. And I have nothing against Beamer. I'd love for him to be on our staff again. But not as head coach. He could have been our assistant head coach and a position coach or recruiting coordinator and heck call him coach in waiting or something. They say it's better to be lucky than good. And if this turns out to be a good hire after the fact it's entirely luck. Nothing at this point validates this as a good hire. It's a stupid hire based on the information available at this point in time. We had already become the laughing stock of college football with Muschamp and now we've cemented that with this hire. Looks like I get hang my hopes in future 8-4 teams. At this point it's whatever we don't have proper management to get us where we need to go. BOT needed to be told no. I'm not terribly confident in this hire. We took a big chance on Muschamp last time because everyone thought he had had learned his lesson. The same people who were wrong about that 5 years ago have taken another risk. Instead of reaching higher and hiring a successful head coach we are taking another chance on an unproven man.
