Cowboy’s fan too. Brooks has pretty good size and hands but his clocked forty wasn’t too good. I was surprised when the Cowboys picked him but I hope he finds a spot if he can help the team. The team website said he was getting a lot of looks as an undrafted FA and they didn’t want to get into a bidding situation with other teams so they took him.
I know Irvin wasn't fast, but Brooks ain't no where near in the same league as Irvin was. And that's not being disrespectful to Brooks. It's just reality.
Brooks is fast according to reports over the years. I remember when he came on the scene as a transfer, his first few games, he dropped some balls he should’ve caught. After he settled in, he looked like he was going to be a really good receiver. Then he had some injuries, and I think some off the field family issues, so his playing time has been sporadic, but he always shows flashes. Overall, I wish we had them back this year along with Josh Vann. He also made some important catches for us.
So for the OP question, he is worth the chance for a late round pick. IMO
