Does anyone know the back story? Why no spurs at first and who got them put on later?
Our pitching is ok. Need better hitters.
the artist said it was planned but the University thought it wasn’t PC because of Cock fighting and all that, so they made him leave them off then they contacted him this year (after all the uproar about it being a chicken not a Gamecock) and had him add them.

Bowing to political correctness, I believe. If it's not a fighting cock, it's just a chicken.
I noticed that the other day driving by and was very happy. I mentioned it to my wife and she didn't quite see it as big of a deal as I did.
I wish I knew how to spell. And quite frankly I could have at least spelled that correctly if I had been thinking but I wasn't. But just let me add this. Have you ever heard anyone say Bill Gates was the best speller I ever saw? I remember when he was standing on the street corner spelling his way to becoming one of the world's riches men.
Uh, administration was worried it might incite additional growth of the sport of kings.
