Looking at NET rankings after the Alabama loss, South Carolina dropped seven spots down from 80 to 87 entering the final three games of the season.

The Gamecocks are sitting at 14-14 right now and 9-6 in the SEC and an already steep hill into the NCAA tournament got a little steeper. It's a Quad II loss at the moment.

Right now the Gamecocks have a six percent chance to make the NCAA Tournament. The most wins they could get in the regular season is 17 and if the Gamecocks get to 18 wins, they have a 41.4 percent chance to make the tournament, meaning they'd have to win a game in the tournament. At 19 wins, they'd have an 85.6 percent chance to make the tournament (meaning winning out and winning two games in the tournament).

Currently, how things stand in records versus Quad I-IV teams (the NGU game is not counted in NET):

Quad I: 3-8
Quad II: 5-4
Quad III: 2-1
Quad IV: 3-1

As of right now KenPom predicts the Gamecocks to finish 15-16 and 10-8 in the conference predicting the remaining win coming against Georgia on March 9.

Right now the Gamecocks are tied for sixth in the SEC with the tiebreaker with Ole Miss (9-5 SEC), who hosts Tennessee tonight.

If Ole Miss loses, the Gamecocks take over as the No. 5 seed in the conference and get one bye instead of the double bye.

If that holds, they'd be playing Thursday, March 14 as the final game of the afternoon session (around 4 p.m. CT) against the winner of the Missouri/Georgia game.

Remaining schedule (NET Ranking): Opponent's remaining schedule
March 2 at Missouri (No. 95): vs. South Carolina, at Georgia, vs. Ole Miss
March 5 at Texas A&M (No. 69): vs. Vanderbilt, vs. South Carolina, at Mississippi State
March 9 vs. Georgia (No. 111): vs. Auburn, at Florida, vs. Missouri, at South Carolina
