I’m officially on the Vandy bandwagon. Gamecocks weren’t even competitive yesterday. Ole Miss gave them opportunities time and again but we were incapable of capitalizing on them. So Go Commodores!
We are going to mess around and finally bet Missouri and the @GoCocksFight2021 s of the world are going to go on and on about why Beame his our savior.
Don't worry Beamer said his staff need to coach better, so he's on it.
We will beat vandy. We have a higher NIL budget than they do.

Vandy looked like they could do anything they wanted to do on offense yesterday. Perhaps we could blow them away with pretend pump shotguns?

There was a brief TV blurb in the 3rd quarter that said Ole Miss has ALLOWED a touchdown in EVERY GAME since beating Vanderbilt, in something like 1976. (not certain what year they said ... I thought we would get at least one}.
The comparison was embarrassing but, is becoming all too common. Who did Vandy play this weekend? How did THEY do??? Did Someone ELSE eat our CUPCAKE???

I'm on the fence, we played like it was the first time we ever played against ODU, defense was on a mission vs. UK, offense and defense were hittin on all cylinders against Akron, boneheaded plays and penalties against LSU, didn't get out the bed against Ole Miss, so the pattern is like a box of chocolates, never know what you're gonna get and this is the reason I'm skeptical the rest of the season
The question is going to be do the guys on the team quit. The one LB already quit. Will be interesting to see if anyone else does.
That's unfortunately the question many teams will be wondering about until the important players take snaps in a fifth game. We are not the lone stranger there.
Six wins would be an improvement over last year. I wouldn't be giddy about it I could live with it and wouldn't be opposed to him getting a fifth year with improvement... especially given I'd like to see a new AD make the change if necessary, which imo is the bigger picture.
Is six wins an improvement or did we just replace one challenging out of conference game with Akron?
5-7 is the same as 6-6 this year.
To go any deeper to include dissecting a season is being too selective imo. I can promise you the powers that be will not be doing that. I'm not saying it's right, just that I wont have a problem it. Now yeah you could compare ooc schedules, but you'd also have to compare conference schedules and say we played a tougher schedule this year and an overall schedule so far that includes 7 ranked teams compared to 5 the previous year... making it a wash. Bottom line is 6 wins>5wins. That said, I may very well be ready to see him canned if we earn a bowl and the proceed to get embarrassed in said bowl. That said as well, I have very little faith he gets to 6 wins. In that case, I would hope a new AD would be making a new hire as his first line of business.

Beamer is not going anywhere and he knows it. Tanner is leaving next year. He damn sure ain't firing Beamer. New AD is not going to come in the door next year and fire Shane before his first season it charge. We are fked and stuck with Beamer through the end of next season. Regardless of any results. Watch and see.
Finally got a chance to watch it. Bad game all around for us. Bad timing with their loss to Kentucky the previous week. Especially the offense. Defense did enough to win. They are way more talented than us on offense, even without them taking our best receiver. But we should have shown better on offense. Ole Piss hasn't given up a lot of points, but they haven't played anybody either except Kentucky who beat them. Looked like Rocket and Sellers were more injury limited than previous stated.
It's even deeper than that. Who are you going to be able to hire? South Carolina HC and OC jobs are a tough sell.
Translation, you've been in hiding for almost a week because you ran your mouth about Kiffin and it blew up in your face.
All we need now is for you talk about how the Bama coach will be run out of town to set the stage for this week's game.
And that is why I don't understand the search for a new AD doesn't begin until end of November, we seem to always wait and the cream of the crop has already been taken then we are stuck with the sticky crap at the bottom of the barrel
No decent OC is going to hitch his wagon to Beamer at this point. Even worse, Clayton White if he's smart is going to move on knowing the rebuild our defense has to go through next year. So Beamer is going to be trying to hire an OC and a DC.
It's time to rip off the bandaid and move on.
