we consistently overrate recruits. Those 4 star athletes are 3 star and 3 star even less. There has to be some talent there before the coaches work with the talent. Our assistant coaches and coordinators maybe able to relate better with those athletes but apparently they can’t coach them. It all falls on Boom who can’t surround himself with enough coaching talent to try to
Make him look good. I say open up that checkbook and get those elite coaches who will teach and improve these kids. If the $$$ isn’t there then it’s tine for. New AD. Who wants to continue to pay big bucks for mediocrity on the field.

We have never out recruited these programs. On occasion we would recruit a few notches below and then with a little coaching beat teams like Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee and Florida.

Now we just have to accept getting our a$$ beat like a drum on the clearance rack at goodwill.

You don't think we've gotten recruits that we're also offered by those schools? We just have to want to, not be scared because of some other school might have a little more tradition or resources than us. It's not like we are a poor school (I pay taxes and GCC dues, we aren't poor at all trust me).

Most people on this board say the opposite our coaches are such great evaluators we get those 3* players that actually should have just gone to the NFL after HS. Interesting perspective you bring.

The most questioning thing about our team is that Boom said we were gonna make our defense faster, and that meant smaller players. Our team isn’t faster, but certainly smaller. Our Dline week in and out looks tiny, and our safety’s/nickels are tiny. Embarrassing when your safety takes a 25 yard ride on a TE.

Can’t recruit if you can’t win . Can’t win if you don’t have top 5 recruits . Bottom line is we have consistently recruited in the top 20 rankings for years . We got a roster full of 4 Stars that aren’t bring developed . We have a 4 Star QB who throws the ball consistently to the other team which doesn’t matter because we have 4 Star receivers who can’t catch a cold and a 4 Star RB who can’t avg 3 yards a carry . The difference is Bama , OSU , Clemson, etc etc etc have 3 other 4 or 5 stars sitting on the bench that will take the other guy’s job if they suck . Not here . Not ever
