The SEC wants banned. Good argument for banning them. Or just sour grapes the SEC didn't come up with the idea?

Even if they ban them, coaches like Harbaugh and Urban Liar will find loopholes.

I don't see the big deal. If the SEC conference wants to be the best then they better be prepared to employ the best head coaches and stop getting embarrassed by losing to schools from other conferences.

Recruiting is dirty, it always has been, always will be.

SEC coaches need to man up and punch back and quit whining!

I have yet to hear a good reason why these should be banned. To me it just shows hard work and dedication on the part of these other staffs. Want to compete with the big boys? Outwork them.

Or out pay em. Some how tater tech keeps getting top QB talent. Outworking or out paying us???

Again recruiting is dirty, but I don't see it coming down to just money.

If you want to single out Clemson, and Im sure they pay out the ass for what they get, BUT their coaches and recruiters relate to these high school kids better than ours do. Dabo is 100x the recruiter that Spurrier is, that's a fact.

You have to figure out what you'd prefer if you have to make a choice,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,would you rather have a great recruiting staff? Or would you want great xo's guys. Unless you're some kind of magician you probably would pick getting talent first. Recruiting is the life-blood of college football.

We have Marcus Lattimore for Gods sake! Get them man out there and pay him well! He'll help with recruiting big time!

Once the recruits think about the weather and the women up there they'll say "thanks for the training" and pass. Yeah, one or two will get snowed (pun intended) and leave the South but so what?

The real big issue on the horizon is the cost of attendance. All those mismanaged rust belt states are expensive to live in so the stipend will need to be higher. So, come to the Big 10 (14) we pay more!!! That will be the pitch. That's going to be interesting. Money talks.

Nothing would prevent USC from hosting a satellite camp in Texas, California, or Pennsylvania--except that Spurrier is too lazy to fool with it.

Didnt want this to turn into a Spurrier hate fest. Spurrier has done more for USC than any other coach.

He's had 3 very good years (out of 10) and never won a championship. He's not statue-worthy.
O I'm sorry we have a lot of fans who don't know our history. 3 bowl wins. 1 10 win season. Just a hand full of winning seasons before Spurrier showed up. It's time for some to move on with their life because 2014 is over.

You must not know our history 3 bowl wins 1 10 win season and a hand full of winning seasons before Spurrier.

The problem with that is that "whining" about this isn't the issue. It is a direct violation of NCAA rules that Penn State, Ohio State and Nebraska are thumbing their nose at. Get the rules changed then fine, have at it. If we can get 2 years probation for something as minor as the Whitney deal, then why isn't the NCAA calling out Urban et al on this? Again change the rule and go for it. Then I'm with you.

I think there is a good argument for banning the Satelitte camps if that what the SEC thinks is fair. Recruiting is so lopsided already for some schools. How would you like it every year Alabama and Auburn and LSU and Florida and Georgia all had camps in Columbia and Lexington and Oxford every single year. Give the little guy some chance to hang on to their instate recruits.

Satellite camps are fine. Just keep a list of recruits in attendance and make it count as the official in-home visit for the coaches that travel.

I understand what you are saying about the rules, but it's college football where rules are merely suggestions.

If you aren't bending or pushing the edge you aren't trying hard enough. Todays recruiters are tireless relentless workers.
