Vandy really would seem to mesh with the ACC athletically. Academically, they would leave the rest of that conference (excl. UVA and Duke and maybe one other) in the dirt. Clempson likes to think of itself as the Harvard of the South but if one spends some time with their alums it is readily apparent that it doesn't take the intellect of a brain surgeon to graduate from that school. Most of their fans are just plain common, whether they went to school there or dropped out in the 9th grade.
