One medical theory is that Covid and flu compete for human lodging places, and that this particular year, one virus suppressed the other by finding more hosts sooner.

Yep...I've got college educated smart friends who for some reason have lost their mind...some of the stuff that comes out of their mouth over the last year has been astounding. It's become comical to say the least.

There are 1.5+ million claims in Texas alone - running the gammit from minor to uninhabitable. I did an inspection yesterday of a house that is uninhabitable. Owners are an older hispanic couple in their 70's. Super kind, great people who have been here for 50 years and worked all their life. I found out last night they have a 10K water limit, meaning insurance wont cover any more than 10K in damages and it would take 60K just to get the house back halfway. I am trying to reach the cajun navy folks to try to get them some help but I have the joy of getting to break that news to them today.

Interesting...I went in with what had always been called flu symptoms in the past (I’ve had the flu several times over the years) and was tested for covid but not the flu. Covid test was negative, and I eventually shook it off.

One of the tell tell signs was losing taste and smell. He never lost them. Apparently that's the one symptom that everyone with Covid gets. My wife and myself got Covid in early Dec. and our symptoms were the exact opposite, with one exception. We both lost out taste and smell.

I’m loathe to be “that conspiracy guy” but I gotta tell ya....Fauci saying in 2017 that the Trump administration will face a “surprise outbreak” (his words), Gates hosting Event 201 in October 2019, an exercise that simulated a global pandemic which resulted from a new coronavirus and killed 65 million, and in November 2019 Gates being awarded a patent to develop a vaccine to treat humans for coronavirus....you can “fact-check” and “science” all you want, that PEGS the old non-coincidence meter.

About a month or so back I got a message from Facebook saying they had removed the post because it “didn’t meet community guidelines.” I thought it was funny they removed something I had posted six months before but didn’t really think much about it. At the time there was an option to say you disagreed and I did so; it was all easily researchable facts. Got an update from them yesterday saying they had reinstated the post; guess they researched it.

I’m not saying that the willingness to simply accept things is new just that it’s gotten worse and more outrageous. There was a time when people had to actively seek out this information which limited the crazy as opposed to today when public figures share BS like it is critical pieces of information.

Yes Fauci said in 2017 that Trump would face a pandemic and the reason he said that is because almost every president has had to deal with something and he detailed items all of the presidents he’s worked with have dealt with. This is essentially the equivalent of saying at the start of football season there is no doubt someone will win the SEC championship. In terms of the Coronavirus attention prior to this most recent outbreak it is simply because this isn’t the first time a variant of Coronavirus has caused problems. It has happened multiple times and there are lots of companies that have been trying to figure out a global treatment of Coronavirus as a whole as opposed to simply attacking each new strain which becomes more dangerous each time. Believe I heard the other day that we will have enough vaccine for everyone by the end of May due to collaboration between J&J and Merck, the Federal government recently invoking the defense production act and the Feds encouraging J&J to operate its vaccine manufacturing facilities 24/7. I know that doesn't mean everyone will be vaccinated by then, but I believe we can see the end zone from here. Looking forward to getting my 2nd vaccine shot next week.
