They are much easier to pack/ship this way... less wasted space than the round/oblong watermellons. Can't wait till they figure out how to make all the other fruits and vegetables square.... nothing says organic/non-GMO than a square tomato or apple ...

Funny, Soylent was never meant to be people. It was Soy/Lentil plant based meat. In the original novel (Make Room! Make Room!) Soylent was just plant based. The movie made it more sinister.
