Kitts

I’ve watched all of the WBB games this year and I’ve noticed Chloe Kitts is the hardest playing person on the team. It seems she is involved in every play. She battles for every rebound and is often fouled on put backs which subsequently put here on the free throw line. She is officially a second semester freshman but she plays like a more senior person. By the time she’s a junior and senior she’ll be an unstoppable force.

Women's Basketball team

I was fortunate enough see the women's basketball game in person against East Carolina yesterday. After the game I stuck around to see if I could get pictures with Coach Staley and some of the players. I can't say enough good things about them - they were all friendly and accommodating to the many Gamecock fans that were there.

I was especially impressed with Coach Staley who had around fifty or more people waiting at the team bus for a chance to get a picture with her or an autograph and she stayed for all of them.

I am proud of the way they represent out university.

Go Cocks!!!!!

Joyce Edwards

From the Charlotte newspaper:

“The South Carolina signee and Camden High School standout scored a career-high 52 points in helping the Bulldogs to a 98-36 victory.

The 52 points are believed to be a school-record and top her previous career-high of 44 points she had as a freshman against Lugoff-Elgin on Dec. 11, 2020. It was the fifth time in her career she has scored more than 40 points in a game.”

OT: I swore, to myself, I would never start another thread again........ I LIED!

There are currently only two (2) living, Northern White Rhinoceros, in the world. Both are Female. Both are aged.

Recently, thru IVF, a Northern White Rhino embryo was implanted into a Southern White Rhino (est pop. < 1500). There are approx. 12 frozen White Rhino samples' remaining. Gestation Period = 16 to 18 months.

THIS IS A TRULY AMAZING AND REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT.... if it works, FOR ALL EXTINCTION avoidance.

Since record keeping began, approximately 75% of the world's animal population has gone extinct.

Still Think Paris Is Coaching Street Ball?

Used to get into it with several posters that were talking about Paris coaching street ball after every loss last year. I knew then they knew nothing about Paris’ background with Bo Ryan. Was that street ball on those side out plays where he exposed one of the top coaches in the country repeatedly? Was it street ball when our guys repeatedly got back on defense and ground a Kentucky offense averaging 91 points to a halt. I put out little hints about this team back in the summer. I didn’t want to go out on a limb because of how last year went, but I felt good. Just so happy for the guys and Coach Paris. Maybe they can get some attention for what they are doing now.

MBB vs. Kentucky Live Thread

Hello from Colonial Life Arena for what should be a crazy night to start a crazy week.

The Cockpit is already close to full and loud, but a lot of blue in here as always. Huge, huge opportunity for Lamont Paris and his team tonight against an elite opponent. Task will be monumental against an opponent like this, but far from impossible.

7:00 tip on SEC Network. Big game vibes here for sure.
