You do not want to go to the Prom or no one asked you to go to the Prom?

I just miss the old days, when the week between Christmas & New Year's Day was dedicated to College Football Bowl games, left over turkey, seeing old friends & relatives, college football, cookies of every sort & design, Bowl games, having a beer at the ole Oasis and watching college football. Did I mention doing all the different Bowl W/L contests and a parlay card or two? .... or three?

I sincerely do miss the aroma of Grandma's & Aunties in Estee Lauder or White Shoulders, the voices of Vin Scully & Lindsey Nelson calling the play-by-play in the background, little brats running around the house, energized by too much chocolate, screaming & yelling with their cousins... and the smell of a live Christmas tree in the house.

Sorry guys but, I'm telling ya right now ... you ain't gonna like this new 12 team, ... 32 team, .... 64 team ... and 64+ plays-ins, BS, CF play-off system.

Just like y'all sold Innocence, for Lust, Amateurism, for Rankings & Star Ratings and entertainment for Participation Awards, this year (portal/grad trans./Opt outs), became the new Golden Calf.

Juice was basically non-existent and Nate getting hurt basically killed our offense.

USC isnt a big brand name nationally, and he was, he was a Heisman mention and just lost his job to the eventual Heisman winner, and then he chose us.

Gave us a jolt of positive exposure.

He plays hard, puts it all out there and he did it til the final whistle.

I dont know how 2022 goes without him, but his passing vs Tennessee and Clemson was elite. We probably dont win both of those without him.

Hope he returns, but if not, he gave us his all in 2022 and it was a great year!

I loved the coaching job done by the entire staff. The creativeness was remarkable and something we fans have been waiting for. Simply put: I love Beamer Ball!! Congratulations on a superb coaching job!!

The season is over. We had a 9-win roster, but an 8-win heart, as a depleted roster fought their hearts out in the loss to Notre Dame. These kids fought so so hard, but, were gassed out due to their former teammates who became quitters in their final act as Gamecocks. This should have been win #9, but….oh well. Hope sitting on their couch tonight was worth it to the quitters.

SO NOW what about 2023? Im actually very optimistic, because the heart the team showed tonight reflected the actual culture. The heartless quitters are gone and the short handed team still almost won and fought til the final whistle.

I think Beamer has momentum and a good foundation set. Recruiting has gone great. The 2023 schedule is rough, but, I think we win 8 again. I think Rattler returns. I think we are seeing this staff is really good at finding hidden gems in FCS transfers like Adkins and Juice Wells.

The culture and recruiting matter most and based on the recruiting class and the fight these kids showed tonight, I think the future is gonna be fun

Hope we can pull it off, will be exciting to see the younger guys get some action.
