Reviving a thread from CockyTalk. I never really got in much on it, but it was quite popular over there and kept going for an incredibly long time. No idea if folks here will find it interesting. Used to see some interesting names pop up and players you hadn't thought about in a long time.

The gist of the game is post the name a Gamecock football player (past or present). One rule: the first letter of the first name of the player you post must be the same letter as the first letter of the last name of the previous player. I'll get it started with the first two posts.

I mentioned on The Insiders Forum yesterday that Campbell HC Justin Haire left for Ohio State. I can confirm that Carolina has offered Cole Peschl, RHP, 6'1 220lbs.

Peschl has one year remaining. He transferred from a D2 school to Campbell last season. 3-3, 5.48 ERA. 83 Ks to only 19 BB in 69 innings pitched. Opponents hit .264 off him. He did make starts against ECU, Charleston, Duke, UNC, UNCW and Coastal so it's not like these numbers were against light competition.

Peschl is a native of Fairmont, WV.

2026 QB Landon Duckworth had been committed since last August. He officially ended that commitment this evening. We are working to see if the Gamecocks will be a factor here.

Texas just hired Jim Schlossnagle away from Texas A&M, a day after they lost in the CWS finale. Just my two cents: my son wouldn’t visit a Schlossnagle coached school. This is his third different school in Texas in the last four years. Guys like him help advance the pro unlimited transfer crowd’s arguments.

A little closer to home Justin Haire accepted the Ohio State job. 14 Campbell players have already entered the portal. Looking to see if there are any Carolina might get involved with.

Your forum experience shouldn’t be any different really. The only changes we are making to the forums at this time are just the colors and logo in the header.
