What happens to the ACC?

After Texas and Oklahoma jump?

They are screwed.
If we are indeed heading toward a 12 team playoff (that may change if we have 4 super conferences) then
A) Notre Dame has zero incentive to join the ACC for football.
B) UVA and Virginia Tech could jump to the Big 10 (who easily has the next Most power/money)
C) They could be scrambling to add teams

MONEY and ESPN are driving all of this. The SEC TV deal is already more than double that of the ACC
Remember this in December

That 3 billion number will be nothing if you add OU/TX

Conference Realignment and Why ND Never to Big 10

Saw this article and the long time feud between ND and Big 10 based largely on anti Catholicism stance led to ND becoming National independent program that we know today.

This may lead to lifeline for ACC football if SEC goes to 16 with Texas and OU.

A rising tide lifts all NIL boats

SEC with Texas and Oklahoma is a marketing and TV rights juggernaut. Right now the B1G has a better footprint in terms of markets and numbers of eyeballs watching games, and their alumni pockets, per capita, are probably deeper. Adding Austin and the Texas alumni footprint and Oklahoma alum would really help. When savvy teenagers are looking to build their brand and get exposure, this can matter. There is lots of talent out there. We are not competing for it with just SEC schools. In terms of media markets, SEC actually has some catching up to do. I love SC, but let's face it, from a $$ standpoint, it's not Chicago or NJ/PA/NY/MD.

Also, assume ND to the ACC or B1G is going to happen. I don't see how ND can recruit without getting better high profile games when players are now thinking about their marketability.

The name of the game is no longer just who can get you ready for the NFL.

Delp Not Expected To Make All In Cookout

Living and working in Greenville SC, 95% of my co-workers are Clemson fans.

According to a few of them, the insiders at Clemson are saying Delp has opted out of attending the cookout this weekend.

If true, further confirmation that SC and Georgia are the real competition here as has been reported multiple times by Chris and Wes.

On a side note, I think the way the fanbase, staff, players and city of Columbia in general have rallied around his recruitment and the implementation of NIL has vastly increased SC’s chances. There are already so many unique and original marketing opportunities that have been created around his name that could really benefit him with NIL in SC.

Of course, doesn’t mean we will get him…but I like our chances.
