If you could bring back any recent President right now

Yes. There's just something about a man that forces innocent people into concentration camps and appoints an ex-Klansman to the Supreme Court that irks me.

No doubt. That was terrible

as terrible as many of the founding fathers that are so revered yet they owned other people, splitting up their families forever, and treating many of them like cattle.

Heck, good ole South Carolina had a segregationist as a Senator for decades. He ran for office proudly proclaiming he was against civil rights for black people. He’s was and is loved by many.

the history of America is extremely messy.

You might want to reword that...Trump inherited a roaring economy and didn't somehow screw it up. The unemployment rate was around 10% during Obama's first year and got it down to around 4.5% when Trump took over. For the record I didn't vote for him in either Term but felt like he did a OK job. Each of the last few presidents have had some sort of catastrophe during their administration...and everyone of them took full responsibility. But not good ole Trump. Dude is blaming everyone else but him. What a great leader...smh

lol...you don't know anything.

Every single Obama-era economic policy has been undone. Fact.

I’m am a Christian. I teach Sunday School every week at a Baptist Church. I have voted for pro choice candidates. In fact, I voted for James Smith for Governor. He Is not for banning abortion services . In fact, most African Americans that voted in our state voted for him. A great many of them are dedicated Christians.

I’m not a one issue voter. Never have been, never will be.

plenty of Christians voted for Obama. Plenty will vote for Biden. Plenty voted for Clinton. Happens all the time. Most people are not one issue voters.

60% of mainline Protestants believe abortion should be legal
52% of historically black Protestants think it should be legal
48% of Catholics do
33% of Evangelical Protestants do
2014 survey

How old are you and what do you do for a living?

Some off Dodd Frank is still in place. Republicans reformed some of the measures but some are still in place, especially as it relates to the largest banks.

the odd part is that some of the reforms were good, but some are measures that increase the likelihood of another 2008 happening again. So it’s a mixed bag.

But no, “every single Obama era economic policy” has not been undone. Some had wide Republican support so that would make no sense.

FDR was an effete, self aggrandizing, easily duped monkey. Further, he was a heartless, inexcusable bigot. He allowed a quick witted, imperialist alcoholic to charm him into war, and a cunning, soulless dictator to flatter him into imprisoning half of Europe. The only thing he demonstrated was that you can't count on polio when you need it.
Yeah, those pesky Japanese had nothing to do with it. They didn't mean to bomb Pearl Harbor, they were in the wrong place and didn't realize it. FDR did suck in some of the ways you said though.

Roaring?

Ahh...maybe a poor choice of words. Just piggy backing off the post I responded too. FYI
What the numbers show about what really happened during the eight years that Barack Obama was president is sometimes different from what politicians claimed.

  • The economy gained a net 11.6 million jobs. The unemployment rate dropped to below the historical norm.
  • Average weekly earnings for all workers were up 4.0 percent after inflation. The gain was 3.7 percent for just production and nonsupervisory employees.
  • After-tax corporate profits also set records, as did stock prices. The S&P 500 index rose 166 percent.
  • The number of people lacking health insurance dropped by 15 million. Premiums rose, but more slowly than before.
  • The federal debt owed to the public rose 128 percent. Deficits were rising as Obama departed.
  • Home prices rose 20 percent. But the home ownership rate hit the lowest point in half a century.
  • Illegal immigration declined: The Border Patrol caught 35 percent fewer people trying to get into the U.S. from Mexico.
  • Wind and solar power increased 369 percent. Coal production declined 38 percent. Carbon emissions from burning fossil fuel dropped 11 percent.
  • Production of handguns rose 192 percent, to a record level.
  • The murder rate dropped to the lowest on record in 2014, then rose and finished at the same rate as when Obama took office.

What I have always said is that I did very well economically under Obama. I’ve done very well under Trump (not so much with the stock market recently though).

But I didn’t vote for either and nothing has happened to make me regret that.

Gazillion people on food stamps.

I love how FOX News has changed its tune on the actual validity of COVID19, two weeks ago it was a Democratic hoax and fake news to bring the President down. My only questions are how in the world were we not better prepared with enough masks and ventilators when we could see this coming for months prior to it landing on our shores? Its almost too late to ramp up production now, this should have been done months ago.

That's a lie. They NEVER called the virus a hoax. They called all the lies Democrats were telling a hoax.

Trump did not inherit a "roaring" economy. The inherited an economy that benefited from a ton of help from the Fed and was teetering back and forth with the possibility of recession.

And Trump shouldn't "take responsibility" for a virus, just like he shouldn't "take responsibility" for an earthquake. He is doing everything he should be doing. The Monday morning QBs couldn't have done any better.

Months ago? It's just been 2 months since this started, and nobody knew much about the virus and the impacts. The first person died in China on Jan 11th. NOBODY was expecting this to get to where it has. Trump was way out ahead of this by restricting travel from China on Jan 31th and declaring a national health emergency the same day.

Monday morning QBs are always right.

I never heard trump call it a hoax. Hannity called it a hoax on March 9Th. That’s on video. He denied it last night. He didn’t play his March 9th video.

Normally I would agree with you but he did blame Obama for Ebola in the US specifically related to physician Craig Spencer so I think it’s fair play when people do that. (Spencer didn’t show any signs of being sick u til he was already back in the United States from helping patients with Doctors Without Borders. Trump attacked him too)

trump ramped up the panic by falsely suggesting Ebola was spreading in the US (it wasn’t and didn’t).

personally, I don’t blame individual people whether that be obama or trump for such things. But Trump likes to do it so turnabout is fair

Too old.

Edit - why are you concerned with what I do for a living and how old I am? That seems a little personal for a message board.

I know a thing or two because I've seen a thing or two. I'm 72.

There are a few fakes and frauds on here. Mostly kook lefties. Just wanted to see if you are one of them.

I’m not a lefty or righty. I’m liberal on some things, conservative in some, and in the middle on others.

I see “kooks” on the right and on the left- some on here.

people that see one side as all bad are the scourge to me.

I believe Trump actually invented this virus just so he could blame China. My sources tell me that he paid some illegals at the border to come up with a virus that would be spread across the world. The fake news media has evidence and is not able to convince the public it is true, because of the lack of media credibility.

Please do some research before you speak...you make yourself look stupid and you're probably not.
Obama had the unique disadvantage of taking office in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. More than 4 million jobs were lost in his first year in office, on top of the 4 million lost in George W. Bush’s final year. And still manage to add more then 11.6 million jobs. And yes...the president of the United States should take responsibility for sitting on his ass for a month before doing anything. I'm more of a Monday morning WR then a QB...

He was clearly referring to the Democrats lies about his response as a hoax, not the virus itself. The virus isn't was never referred to as a hoax. He had already declared a national health emergency at that point, so it is stupid to suggest he thought it was a hoax.

Again, a lie.

He wasn't "sitting on his ass". He moved almost immediately. He declare a national health emergency in January. He restricted travel from China in January. He created a task force with some of the brightest people in the world in January.

All that was done BEFORE A TEST WAS EVEN CREATED. Within a few days of the first death in China. You need to cut off the liars at CNN and MSNBC because they might be making you the stupid one.

What lies? I always love to see this comment from FN but they never actually show what was a lie and even if they pick something specific they never prove why it was a lie.

So since even Hannity has had to follow his program director now what “lies” were they combatting that Tucker Carlson wasn’t?

Bobby I think you may be putting tooo much emphasis on the word hoax..okay lets just say many things were delayed as a result of Trump and his administration appearing to not take this thing seriously. First reported in China around November/December, anyone with 1/2 a brain knew it was only a matter of time before it came here. We should have mobilized healthcare and industry to prepare us at that time. Now there is not enough protective gear to even keep healthcare workers safe and if we do not flatten the curve, there are not enough ventilators to keep people alive, so in essence the Docs will have to make the decision who gets a ventilator and who does not. I sure hope it never gets to that but we should have been better prepared. I'm not even mentioning the Administration cutting funding to the CDC and Pandemic team.....firing people, etc.

Trump needs to continue to do what he promised, and that is "Drain the Swamp". The kook left tries to stop him at every step. They want more and more free stuff. Socialists and communists. Most are kids with brainwashing still in place from their college professors. This is the first time we have had a real business person as president. And, he is already the best president in our history.

This is cute:

Did you find this while on spring break?

First reported in China around November/December, anyone with 1/2 a brain knew it was only a matter of time before it came here.

It started then, but China hid it and allowed it to fester. The WHO didn't know about it until Dec 31st. Then they lied and said they had it under control and wouldn't let anybody into China to help and verify. The first death wasn't until mid January. Trump's response was very fast, cutting travel, declare a national health emergency and setting up the task force in January. Your 1/2 brain Monday morning quarterbacking is absurd. Just because Trump wasn't running around with his hair on fire doesn't mean he wasn't taking it seriously. He obviously was. He quarantined people in January, something that hadn't been done here in 50 years since smallpox.

Trump's task force started communicating with hospitals the first week of February. Unfortunately, with this being a world wide pandemic, critical supplies were used up quickly and they can't be replaced overnight. You may be able to order something on Amazon and get it in 2 days, but that's not how it works in situations like this. Ventilators were bought up, and there is no way to produce hundreds of thousands them in weeks or months. Your simplistic view of "we should have just made more" is laughable. Materials don't just show up by magic and supply chains don't just expand on a dime.

I'm not even mentioning the Administration cutting funding to the CDC and Pandemic team.....firing people, etc.

Again, another set of lies. The CDC funding was never cut. It has increased EVERY YEAR under Trump. It was discussed, but never happened. It was actually increase.

And the "pandemic team" was really just a couple of bureaucrats sitting in the White House that QUIT and were not replace. The CDC is our pandemic response team, not a couple of white house officials sitting on a panel.

Please stop listening to the lies from CNN and MSNBC. It should be obvious to you by now that they hate Trump and will distort everything they can to make him look bad.

It is not racist to call it the Wuhan or Chinese Flu. Calling it that may be a way to place blame but it isn’t racist.

Yelling at someone who is Asian and blaming them for the virus is racist.

There have been many. For instance, Joe Biden:

“The World Health Organization offered the testing kits that they have available and to give it to us now. We refused them. We did not want to buy them.”

This is a lie and a hoax. They never offered us test kits. They expected us to make our own.

I agree 100%. This isn't even the fault of the Chinese people. The blame for the scale of this pandemic lies 100% with the Chinese Communist Government.

While it is true they didn’t offer physical kits they did offer the plans which we opted not to use. So depending on how you word it is both true and false. If you say physical tests then it isn’t true. If you just say tests then it is true.

Yes. Of course there are socialist things and programs in the United States too.

There is nothing good about socialism. Government owned firms have no incentive to be efficient. Redistribution of income, higher taxes, mostly everything controlled by the government, incentives to have more abortions, emphasis on continuing to expand an underclass (for more liberal democrat voters). Overall, just a failure for America., and any other capitalist country.
