Not so sure about that. Spurrier didn't seem to care...and let a QB transfer to Bama. Don't remember Muschamp putting any restrictions on his transfers at UF. Both seem to have the same attitude...just on different sides of the ball.
Wrong! Spurrier would let kids transfer anywhere. He never had restrictions.
If Dabo such a great guy, why did he need an attorney. Dabo was only grateful after attorney showed up.
Spurrier is a lot better man than any of you guys give him credit for. He and Dabo were pretty good friends. They are the ones who conspired to ratchet up the dialogue publicly by supposedly feuding through the media in an effort to gain more national attention to the rivalry. Their wives even traded gifts at Christmas each year. If circumstances were reversed, I have no doubt that Spurrier would have been as accommodating as Dabo. He was a great guy until (as Phil Fulmer said) somebody stuck a microphone in front of him!
Let him come here and get a year of weightlifting and the playbook under his belt then we will have him for 3-4 years. He would have sat last year at Clemson anyway.
He would have been on the two-three deep. Clemson’s DT depth is looking pretty bad for 2019+.

Give it up son. It would be a lot easier to believe that Saint Dabs is a genuinely nice guy IF he weren’t such a giant jerk in any situation where he doesn’t get his way.

Actually, if you talk to some of the Clemson insiders you'll know that he's been doing quite well in preseason. They say they can't stop him, which isn't to say they have a crappy offensive line but more that he has a motor when he wants to use the motor. He played at Lewisville High School which is 1 a, so he probably didn't actually have to turn the motor on all that often. That doesn't make him a bad player or a lazy player. If we get him, are you still going to talk trash about him when he gets us some sacks?
Dabo is a decent guy, but he is quite Pharasaich. Anybody who has a media crew follow him around to capture his pious moments so that they can be distributed and broadcast all over social media has less than genuine motives. Let’s not also forget that this man is the one who let his players taunt the USC student section before last year’s game, then went ape on the sidelines when they retaliated by throwing half-empty water bottles at his players decked out in full uniform (helments and pads) because he was scared for his players’ safety. LOL!!! That was all a big show so that media crew on the sidelines could capture it, and immediately post it all over social media to discredit us. Gotta admit. He’s one savvy TV evangelist!

Can’t wait to hear the real truth one day. Never seen a first semester freshman (other than Garcia) have his own attorney publishing this stuff. Seems more than strange to me. There’s sum-in behind this. Could be a lot of different things but it’s all speculation now.
If he(belk)is as lazy, and take plays off as much as some on here have suggested, dabo and venebales know it and letting him go here in a palmetto rivalry sense is like the Germans sending Lenin into Russia.
I don't believe that. The people propagating that rumor must be taters. Belk will be a great pickup. And we might have a little intel on Venables play calling/scheme.
And if that is the case, CWM and co. won't stand for that. He'll either be whipped into shape, or will be transferring again soon. Hopefully as Timmy above said, it's just tater rumor. Here's hoping Belk becomes a monster for us!
There is something fishy about this story. He is leaving to be closer to home but is looking at schools such as USC, Tennessee, UNC etc... Now if he is leaving to be closer to home, how does UT and UNC get him closer to home? Thinking there is more to it than getting closer to home if he is willing to talk to those schools.
Here's the deal......He "tried" to quit twice this spring and was talked out of it. He showed some flashes but overall didn't seem to want to work. Same rap he had coming out of high school. He got an unconditional release because Clemson doesn't care where he goes. Nobody there is concerned over him leaving. And it has absolutely nothing to do with an illness in the family.
According to his Rivals page, he had offers from Clemson, FSU, LSU, NC, NC St., and SC. He made no official visits anywhere including Clemson who he signed with. It seems odd to me that a player would make a commitment without taking an "official" visit anywhere. Is that common?

If he did actually sign without an OV and the attorney got involved then I stand by my idea of a signed agreement with a hush signature. Nobody signs with a school without an official visit without $$$ changing hands then gets his lawyer to announce the transfer without possibly a bit of blackmail involved. Just my opinion going on Clemson's history.
