I'd rather have a QB who may not have had the God given talent, but did know how to maximize the talent he did have, helping him. Orth learned a lot and improved a lot during his time here. He has a lot to offer. I like that he is working with DJ

And he can get him started on how our system works and what the plays are designed to do.

Orth is teaching him what his new coaches will be looking for when he gets to USC. Maybe throwing motion, foot work etc. Orth might not been the best at his position but he was a worker and student of the game and can pass on what he was taught under Spurrier.
