Social distancing at Williams Brice

Not a single comment about our defense doing this for years now? You guys are slipping. Tighten up.

Nice one.....OR...As luck would have it, Year 5 of The Will Muschamp Experient comes w/ social distancing in place by default.

Has anybody gone to Lowes or Walmart lately? Social distancing is a joke. If you cut out that many seats, you honestly might as well just refund everybody and play the games without fans present. That would at least be equitable. The SEC TV money would still be coming in.

I've given up on the entire structure.
Wow, you took a bad lie and knocked it home. (Used an analogy you will like).

I agree with you actually. The schools are social engineering rather than teaching or training. The sports programs are bloated, unrealistic amateur endeavours doomed to failure and reinvention by the market. The losers are students and student athletes.

Tru that on the distancing. European soccer going the no fan route.

Unfortunately, we're no longer allowed to decide how to keep ourselves safe. Our Government just won't allow it. Someone on the insiders forum said it best;

Theyre going to destroy us by trying to protect us.
This is it... We have given away our personal freedoms entirely and half the country is so blind they are trying to guilt, shame and in some cases people arrested if they do not blindly follow along with it!

When will we get our rights back? Nobody can say

If we get a vaccine, then can we go back to work/social gatherings? Nobody knows.

What is another different minor viral outbreak were to occur two days after they do one day decide to let us act like free people again? What then? Another lockdown? The precedent being set is terrifying...

can someone please tell me a time in history when a government seized massive power and control over their population like we have seen today and then peacefully relinquished it again soon after without the people having to incite some sort of rebellion? I am unaware of any government official in the history of the world who has EVER WILLINGLY given power back tot he people of their own accord. It is not human nature.

Laugh it off- “ohh it is all for the greater good, things will be back to normal again soon”... OK. God I hope you are right. All we know for SURE is you cannot believe a single word anyone in our media or government tells us any more.

There was another deadly flu epidemic in the United States. The flu spread from Hong Kong to the United States, arriving in December 1968 and peaking a year later. It ultimately killed 100,000 people in the U.S., mostly over the age of 65, and one million worldwide.

Lifespan in the US in those days was 70 whereas it is 78 today. US population was 200 million as compared with 328 million today. It was also a healthier population with lower obesity than today.

If it would be possible to extrapolate the death data based on population and demographics, we might be looking at a quarter million deaths today from this virus. So in terms of lethality, it was as deadly and scary as COVID-19 if not more so, though we shall have to wait to see.

“In 1968,” says Nathaniel L. Moir in National Interest, “the H3N2 pandemic killed more individuals in the U.S. than the combined total number of American fatalities during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars.”

Nothing closed. Schools stayed open. All businesses did too. You could go to the movies. You could go to bars and restaurants. People attended Grateful Dead concerts. People seemingly have no memory or awareness that the famous Woodstock concert of August 1969 – planned in January during the worse period of death – actually occurred during a deadly American flu pandemic that only peaked globally six months later. There was no thought given to the virus which, like ours today, was dangerous mainly for a non-concert-going demographic.

Stock markets didn’t crash. Congress passed no legislation. The Federal Reserve did nothing. Not a single governor acted to enforce social distancing, curve flattening (even though hundreds of thousands of people were hospitalized), or banning of crowds. No mothers were arrested for taking their kids to other homes. No surfers were arrested. No daycare centers were closed even though there were more infant deaths with this virus than the one we are experiencing now. There is no evidence of an increase in suicides, unemployment, or drug overdoses.

Media covered the pandemic but it never became a big issue.

Good luck to all.

There will be social distancing, no doubt. Look at the American death count due to covid.. It's now 80,044.

These 2 statements are in disagreement with one another. So did you just make this up?
Many of those living in '68 were heavy smokers...you do know nicotine is an appetite suppressant?
If you can't get these basic facts right, what about the rest of your comments?
