This just became very easy for Ray Tanner

"Easy for Tanner"? If Tanner really bragged about winning 11 games with the smallest recruiting budget in the SEC, then the BOT should consider canning his ass too.

Tanner didn't brag about any such thing. He was more than willing to provide a good, competitive recruiting budget. Spurrier is the one who made such remarks and wouldn't ask for/ use more $$ for recruiting.

Then Tanner should have shown him the door. He is the AD. Do your job or get out. Pastides should get rid of Tanner!

What are you talking about? So your saying Tanner should have fired Spurrier because he didn't spend much on recruiting? lol

As AD, when his coaches started bragging about not working hard, he should have stepped up and told them to get with it or get out. Much of the blame can go on Tanner. He showed us what he can do with his baseball hire (three year trend is down). Now he let Spurrier and Co. sleepwalk through 3 years of recruiting...and brag in public about laziness!

If you are an executive, and a manager told the public their division was proud of not working hard, would you wait to see the bad results to straighten things out? If you do, there are grounds to fire you. Everyone knows you have to work hard to get results, no matter what the job.

So yes , Tanner can go too as far as I'm concerned.

I think you have a great point. I'm willing to see how the new coaches turn out, but Tanner is fast becoming King Dixon II.

Tanner should resign.

Since he took over, the athletic department has fallen off the face of the earth. It's about wins and his department has precious few.

Looking back, would it have hurt to fire Spurrier? Look why letting him stay got us. He's not too big to get fired and we'd have been the first to do it! We can break records too. He likes records and first times.
