What would Notre Dame's record be if they played a modified SEC schedule?

It depends? Bama has only played one ranked team, aTm. Bama has the weakest SOS to date but that will change starting this weekend. LSU on the other hand has played the toughest and it is only getting tougher which is why they jumped ND. Basically ND has only played Michigan, and I don't think the Big 10 is that great so Michigan's season starts this Wknd with Penn St.

That said, if ND had only played TN, aTm, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Louisville like Bama, they would still be undefeated as I think Stanford could beat most of those and they are ND second best game.

If they played LSU schedule they would likely have 2 losses as I don't think ND is great either?

I get where you're coming from, but I don't think ND beats all those teams - and definitely not Stanford. Stanford is not good and the Pac-12 is worse than the ACC.

Notre Dame is like clemson...over rated year in year out. They both play a cream puff schedule and ride that till the end of the year when they are finally forced to play a real team and they get curb stomped. It's a joke but media hype and media $$ keep the useful idiots propped up at both schools.

The only team that would give them a hard time is aTm. Stanford is not good but those SEC teams are the bottom of SEC minus Vandy. Stanford has good talent with lots of 4-5* players so they could beat a lot of teams on a good night. Plus Bryce Love has been hurt most the season and he was a Heisman leader at one point last year.

Whatever. ND and CU = over rated cream puffs. Everyone knows it.
