Texas A&M is a 3 point favorite over Carolina.

Looks like it opened at 4 and is currently 3 or 3 1/2 depending one where you look. They are riding high right now. First in the SEC. Ranked 10th in the country. As confident as they have been all year. It's a big ask from our team to win. I'm surprised the line is so close.
TAMU is 7-1 5-0. Carolina is 4-3 2-3. Game is on ABC at 7:30 in Williams-Brice. Hopefully we live up to the billing.

Saturday- USC Marching Band 'dress rehearsal' route in Columbia ahead of Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

My wife and I will be down to watch tomorrow. Hopefully there will a nice crowd. Standing right next to the band when they are playing is quite a treat.

The band has been working hard on practice for the parade and still have more work to do but this will be a big help. I talked to a band member today and they will be playing a number of songs- mostly some of their music they play at games at the statehouse after the parade.

They are also still raising money for the Macy's trip. It's an expensive trip for 375 members. My wife and I recently donated along with my in-laws (father in law majored in music at USC and was in the band decades ago). My wife and I have decided to travel to New York to see it in person this year.

You can donate on the band's link online- and donate in someone's honor or memory. They still need donations.

Before they storm New York City on Thanksgiving, the University of South Carolina Marching Band is practicing their Macy's Day Parade routine through downtown Columbia.

The “Big Apple Sneak Peek” will kick off at 2 p.m. Oct. 26.

More than 375 student musicians will march down Greene Street, starting at Pickens Street, before hooking a right on Sumter Street and ending at the State House. After the march, the band will play a free concert on the State House's lawn, according to the university.

The dress rehearsal comes ahead of the band's appearance in the 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, which kicks off early morning Nov. 28.

Reversed called in Georgia Texas Game

That's a terrible look for those refs. Made the defensive pass interference call on the field. The crew discussed it. They announced the call. Fans threw bottles on the field that took several minutes to clean up. Meanwhile, the refs chatted amongst each other and reversed the call. I 100% believe they looked at the video board replay to assess and use that in their reversal. I don't believe for a second that someone just remembered something they saw after the first discussion that could have been brought up in the second discussion.

Whether or not you agree that the call was correct or not, that's bullshit. A lot of PI calls and no calls are controversial. We have rules about what is reviewable and what isn't reviewable. Once you announce the call, it should be done unless it's eligible for review. Otherwise, the turds of the coaching world will encourage fans to do that, just like they use the fake injuries. Kirby probably going to get fined for his comments about it, but he is correct. Every team has to deal with bad calls that aren't reviewable. What they did last night was allow fans to protest a call that wasn't reviewable and get a reversal. Just can't be allowed. That entire crew should be suspended.

Shane Beamer Redshirting

Apparently Coach Beamer was talking about players redshirting. You know the deal, they basically stopped playing after they have played in 4 games so they can get another year of eligibility! I always thought redshirting was up to the coaching staff, not the player!

I mean can a PLAYER decide that after playing in 4 games that he is going to redshirt so he can transfer to a different school and get another year of NIL? THAT’S ABSURD!! Redshirting is supposed to be used when players get hurt and haven’t played more than 4 games, or for new players who aren’t “ready” to play yet. Which Gamecock players are trying to SCAM the process and making Coach Beamer so mad? BTW, SCAM is my word not coach’s.
