FutureCast: DB Kejiaun “KJ” Johnson to South Carolina

Just wanted to drop in and share a bit of info on why I put in a prediction for KJ today. I’ll have an in-depth article coming soon with all the official visit quotes and more—I just wrapped up my last interview.

But here’s a quick nugget: I spoke with KJ, and he said his visit was a 10 out of 10. He’s seriously considering shutting things down and not taking any more visits. After talking with him last night and again briefly this morning, South Carolina is clearly out front. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him go ahead and make a decision soon.

Ole Miss and Arkansas are the two other schools still in the mix.

Gamecocks Add Former ACC Commit as Preferred Walk-On

I spoke to a few sources around the team and in his area who told me that Cedric Cisse has been a part of the team. He’s the younger brother of Brandon Cisse.

Cedric held offers from NC State, Navy, Murray State, Charleston Southern, and South Carolina State. While he wasn’t ranked by Rivals, he was considered a three-star prospect by other outlets in the industry a pretty solid preferred walk-on pickup.

Well it only took 1 game to see that Angel Reese hasn't changed at all. Possibly worse. CC and her team looks to be almost worth watching. Curious to see if Bueaeuackers gets smacked around as much as CC. I tell you these 2 girls have brought out some hate and racism from the race baiters. Seems to be a microcosm of what the world is becoming.

SEC Baseball Tournament vs. Florida Live Thread

HOOVER, Ala. — Season on the line for South Carolina baseball today. Gamecocks either start a five-game winning streak today or see their season come to an end at the SEC Tournament. It's the Florida Gators up first today, with Brandon Stone on the mound. Max Kaufer is starting behind the plate, a more than peculiar choice considering Gavin Braland is healthy and Kaufer has only started behind the plate for a Stone start once all season. Nevertheless, there's the full lineup for the 5:30 p.m (4:30 p.m. local) first pitch:

Blake Jackson - LF
Henry Kaczmar - SS
Nathan Hall - CF
Jase Woita - DH
Beau Hollins - 1B
Kcobey - 3B
Jordan Carrion - 2B
Evan Stone - RF
Max Kaufer - C

Brandon Stone - Pitcher

I’ve been slack on updates, because I’m currently in Key West, but Carolina is currently nicely positioned. Today is day 3 of 3 of the tournament before the first cut. The top 15 see tomorrow. Carolina is currently 6th at +5. They’ve been very good since the opening round +9. After tomorrow, the top 8 advance to match play.

Stanford is currently dominating the field at -23. That won’t matter come match play.

The Gamecocks have offered former Irmo standout Mason Collins, who was ranked No. 20 in ESPN’s Top 25 for the class of 2028. He currently holds an invite to Nike’s Elite Top 100 Camp as well as a tryout for the USA Basketball U16 team.

South Carolina was the first program to offer Collins, who now attends Christ School in Asheville, N.C.

Hi everyone,

For those who don’t know me, my name is Fisher Brewer. Some of you might know me from the page I created a few years ago, USC Talk. Over the past three years, I’ve worked as an editor for Sports Illustrated, and this past year I served as the lead editor covering the Gamecocks — mainly team coverage and recruiting.

I’m excited to officially join the Rivals and now ON3 family. I look forward to hanging out with you all, getting to know you better, and bringing you the best info I can.

This is the end, my friends. The 56th and final game of the regular season for South Carolina baseball is here. It's the rubber game of the series against LSU, and the last time the Gamecocks will play at Founders Park until February. Dylan Eskew takes the ball against LSU's Anthony Eyanson. Here's the full lineup for the 3 p.m. first pitch:

Nathan Hall - CF
Blake Jackson - LF
Henry Kaczmar - SS
Jase Woita - DH
Beau Hollins - 1B
Jordan Carrion - 2B
Evan Stone - RF
KJ Scobey - 3B
Gavin Braland - C

Dylan Eskew - Pitcher

Quirky, off the wall, no big deal but ... interesting.

Last night Max Fried, for the NY Yankees, got through the first inning on 5 pitches, against Seatle, one of the top offensive producing teams in MLB. Obviously, the absolute minimum is 3.

Thinkaboudit .... 1st inning, ... batters often take a first pitch or two when initially facing the new pitcher. These guys didn't. No Big Deal, just interesting & the lowest I ever heard..
