OT: WCBB, Alabama vs Carolina

During the game, one of the Talk'n' Heads mentioned that this was one of the Bama's Ladies 7th year of college ball and her 4th University. I didn't catch who he was talking about ... perhaps Green???

I'm sorry but, I feel this is wrong in every sense, shape and form. This person has stolen potential college playing time from how many other players??? But, who the hell am I??? Maybe it's jealousy! Or maybe I'm just tired of the smell of bullshit.

Whadda y'all think?

What Joyce Edwards, Bree Hall said after South Carolina WBB's win at Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Everything from Joyce Edwards and Bree Hall, who spoke off podium at Coleman Coliseum after South Carolina women's basketball beat Alabama 76-58, a game the Gamecocks only led by five early in the fourth quarter but pulled away late.

Joyce Edwards:

On what was going so well for her in the fourth quarter:
"Just going back to the fundamentals. We understood that the four had a mismatch with them playing four guards, and we took advantage of it."

On what's been working for her this season:
"Just trying to stay consistent, that's really it. I'm doing what I can, sticking to the fundamentals, reading the defense, not trying to press, just relax, just taking what the defense gives me."

On if tonight gives her more confidence moving forward:
"Not much, honestly. I feel like I came in and I did make an impact offensviely, but with this team it can be anybody, any night. It's just that simple. I understand my value whether I have 20 points, whether I have 10 points or five points, I understand my impact and value. It didn't really affect me that much. I just was happy that I was able to perform today when we needed it in crunch time."

On the team getting some games under their belt without Ashlyn Watkins:
"Good. I feel like we've all stepped up individually. I don't feel like anybody is carrying it all on their shoulders. We're all coming together and just improving the team overall in her absence, and that's something I'm proud of."

On what the message was when Alabama cut it to five:
"Just back to the fundamentals. I wasn't much worried. I feel like everybody stayed collected, had composure and we just executed like we should've done the rest of the game. Good job from Alabama just sticking with us."

All Gamecocks are present and accounted for, and everyone but of course Ashlyn Watkins is warming up. Alabama on the other hand is down Sarah Ashlee Barker, its second leading scorer and rebounder.

WBB vs. Texas Live Thread

Well, here we are. Biggest game of the season for South Carolina women's basketball to date. Gamecocks holding down No. 2 in the rankings with No. 5 Texas in town. It's a renewal of the Dawn Staley vs. Vic Schaefer rivalry, and the winner will have an inside track towards an SEC regular season title.

Everyone but Ashlyn Watkins is present and warming up. It's a 1 p.m. tip on ESPN. Atmosphere is already building.

Wall to wall all day freaking long coverage

Of fires in cali like it’s something new. This happens every year but the morons build back, move back knowing it’s not a safe inhabitable area. SuchTotal bs. Meanwhile hundreds of deaths and thousands of poor hardworking true Americans in WNC still suffering 4 months later from a real disaster but not a peep. Zero gov help, everyone taking care of each other. No empathy for the lazy, materialistic, useless trash in cali. Turn the page already. This was self inflicted. Nothing to see here. Rant over!

MBB vs. Auburn Live Thread

Good afternoon from Colonial Life Arena, where the vibes are pretty bleak for South Carolina men's basketball heading into this one.

No Jamarii Thomas, no Myles Stute, and the No. 2 team in the country (to be No. 1 with a win) in town in the Auburn Tigers. Can't remember the last time I saw a home team as a 17-point underdog in a men's basketball conference game, but that's where this one is today. Gamecocks looking for a miracle and something to build on with some more winnable games coming up against Vanderbilt and Oklahoma next week.

It's a 1 p.m. ET tip on SEC Network.

WBB vs. Texas A&M Live Thread

Welcome back to Colonial Life Arena, where South Carolina women's basketball is finally back for its first home game in 11 days. Conference home opener against Texas A&M is a 5:00 p.m. ET tip on ESPN2, the final game for the Gamecocks before a stretch of five in a row against ranked opponents.

Maddy McDaniel has already been ruled out on the SEC availability report, but she's out there stretching and participating in warm-ups so that's a good sign. No Ashlyn Watkins, of course. Everyone else, including Sakima Walker, is available and warming up.

Updates to follow.

MBB vs. Alabama Live Thread

Good evening from Colonial Life Arena. Conference play is here on the men's side as South Carolina hosts No. 5 Alabama, a huge opportunity for this team to get back on track. But also, an uberly talented opponent who will be smelling blood in the water after South Carolina lost its first first league game by 35.

It's a 7 p.m. ET tip on SEC Network. No Myles Stute for the Gamecocks tonight, out indefinitely with blood clots in his left leg in case you missed it.
