The Taters are on an all Sport Roll

Please enlighten us how they did this in one year.

I swear the Internet has allowed some stupid opinions and attitudes to thrive. Everyone has to have an opinion and everything is either black or white. Every issue has turned into this, too.
You can call my opinions stupid all you want, the problem is it's obvious you haven't been following what's been going on. After our run in baseball Clemson decided to finally get rid of JackLeg and get a real coach (one that we wanted no doubt) they've owned us ever since, basketball got real serious around taterville after our run last year. Women's basketball is good and all but men's sports are what the taters want to dominate in and they can't have USC one upping them in anything men's related. Hurts their ego or something.

So the reason Clemson basketball is in the sweet 16 is because of your final 4 run last season?

The only thing they did or had time to do since our final four is put Brownell on Leggett probation. He had to come through or get fired.
People are forgetting that. Brownell was endangered. He was coaching with his back against the wall and he came through.

Robert, with all due respect, what they have now started before last spring. The question will be, can they sustain?

Robert thinks they recruited these juniors and seniors in 2014 and 2015 with the advance knowledge that they would need to try to respond to USC’s 2017 Final Four run.

This was done with the help of transfers. Don't know if that is a sustainable business model. The hope is some of the guys he recruits out of high school develop and add. Sims looks like he might be a good recruit, and Trapp and Oliver have shown glimpses.

You don't even know what you're arguing.

What type of change occurred in one year to allow Clemson to do better in basketball? You're being dramatic and can't process that not everything is black and white.
What happened is Dablow started going over during lunch and playing with team. Brownell said himself that Dablow was good high school player . Not much on defense but a pure shooter, or at least tried to be.

Bingo, they have 5 transfers, 3 of them from schools that went to the NCAAs last year. They'll have a lot of trouble duplicating this season.

How many are returning? Didn't see a lot of seniors on their roster...one was injured most of the year, one didn't play a lot, the third is very good.

They all are coming back next year. Davoe, Grantham and Donnal are the only seniors leaving this year.

Not entirely true, they were on Clemson's roster last year as well. My biggest belief is that losing Blossomgame may have been the best thing to happen to the team.

Isn't Donnal a transfer? Don't get too optimistic, these guys get exposure in the NCAAs and they think they're ready for the NBA especially if they sat out a year.

Yes, Donnal is a grad student, so he's gone. By his stats though, he didn't do much.

By his stats looks like he should be playing more. Averaged playing 19 minutes on a sweet sixteen team at Michigan. 12 MINUTES AT CLEMSON. He's 6'9" and he's hit 19 3 pointers 49% from 3, 55% on 2 pt. attempts.

Yup. Bench play has been weak for the most part all season outside of a few games late down the stretch.

With that being said, relying on transfers got them to the sweet 16 so I'm guessing brownell is going to ride that wave as long as he can moving forward.

Transfers certainly helped Dawn Staley get a championship, but transfers are much more likely to forego a final year of eligibility. Would not be surprised to see a couple of those guys enter the draft, particularly if they have big games against Kansas.
