2023 Football Transfer Portal Tracker - Players Leaving

Updating all of South Carolina football's transfer portal entries this off-season starting with EDGE Donovan Westmoreland, who several outlets are reporting is planning to enter the portal when it officially opens on Dec. 4.

Westmoreland appeared in seven games in 2022 but only two in 2023 and did not enter any stats. He had three years of eligibility remaining after redshirting this season.

MBB vs. Winthrop Live Thread

Hello from Colonial Life Arena on a big night of hoops around South Carolina's sphere. Gamecocks are on the road at Bowling Green on the WBB side -- which we'll also have a thread for -- and MBB will host Winthrop tonight.

Eagles come in at 8-4 and are a sneaky test for the Gamecocks here. Going to need a better performance than Saturday vs. Charleston Southern in this one.

‘25 LB/EDGE Anthony Addison of Sumter High School talks recruitment from Sterling Lucas, Gamecocks

He listed South Carolina in his current list of top schools, alongside Tennessee, Cincinnati, and South Florida.

Other offers include Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Jacksonville State, Liberty, and Old Dominion.

The defender is being recruited to play a hybrid role as an edge rusher and linebacker by outside linebackers and defensive ends coach Sterling Lucas, whom Adams has had a relationship with since his sophomore season, making the short trip to the Columbia campus from Sumter on several occasions throughout his high school career for camps and unofficial visits.

Juice Wells entering portal

I and others railed against the portal and NIL, in particular the immediate eligibility portal but combined with NIL making 24/7/365 free agency, which no sports league could survive. And I was told to shut up, that who am I to judge whats best for someone and “what’s best for me” should ALWAYS be the ONLY thing that’s considered.

So now, our top player for 2024 has entered the portal. Everyone should be happy. Critique isnt allowed. Loyalty to the program who took an FCS player and made him a legit pro prospect? Nope.
