Not really. They just don't have the players there. Tua is the exception, not the rule. Also, they have to travel 2,000 miles to play other schools. It just doesn't work financially for them to compete. Also, there is almost no TV coverage in Hawaii. If a player wants to get noticed especially by the NFL, they have to come to the lower 48.
