You and I are in agreement there....common ground.I agree it's in the eye of the beholder. And that perception is often skewed by political affiliation.
I just personally think it would be better to remove that bias.

And nowhere did I say that large gatherings in close spaces is recommended.
I understand. I have long held the position that wherever people go, they 1. wear masks 2 social distance and 3. wash their hands. My position has nothing to do with politics; rather it's entirely based on public health.I didn't mean to insinuate that you did. I disagreed with excusing the same behavior in one group and not in the other based on political motivations.

That's called the exception. Thankfully, these cases aren't the norm.Except, a local, well known man, with no underlying conditions died from it. Healthy people in their 30's and 40's dying from it. The State had an article about the man that passed. You probably missed it since it wasn't on fox news.
Get it? You mean infected? No.So, younger people without underlying complications are much less likely to get it. I agree, and the statistics agree.
Sorry never heard that. You got back up for that statement.Don't worry.
Yesterday Dr Trump said 99% of the Covid cases are harmless.
Research = google:What the hell is made up about that statement? So you think all of these protesters live in these city's.. OK... What kind of research are you talking about. That's common sense
From his campaign speech yesterday:Sorry never heard that. You got back up for that statement.
"Now we have tested almost 40 million people. By so doing, we show cases — 99% of which are totally harmless — results that no other country can show because no other country has testing that we have. Not in terms of the numbers, or in terms of the quality," he said,Sorry never heard that. You got back up for that statement.
They didn't report it on fox, eh? Its almost as if they shelter you from the moron. Sort of hiding his dumbass comments. That's part of the con...Sorry never heard that. You got back up for that statement.

I suspect that the American families of the 132,510 people who have died from covid , would disagree with that statement. Trump continues to prove Rex Tillerson to be right. From his campaign speech yesterday:

There's a lot of dumb going around. Comments can be dissected and twisted and edited. I sure would not trust anything from CNN or the other hate Trumpers. They didn't report it on fox, eh? It's pretty high, and the danger of that is a lot of those people carried on with working and other daily activities. What is the percent of asymptomatic people?
It's amazing to me how people will become angry at politicizing the virus, then argue tooth and nail that protests had nothing to do with spikes.
Is it so hard to admit that the same behavior of people at beaches and at protests caused the same thing?
They've pretty much been saying this since the beginning. Sorry for your friend. Hopefully he doesn't have to be admitted.Yeah how crazy is that . So their solution was “Stay home and if you feel like you’re gonna die in the next hour or two come on down”. It’s just insane .
To be fair, it's not just young people being irresponsible. I know someone who had a huge party on Lake Murray yesterday with no masks or distancing. This was a 40-50 age group.

The government has rules on driving. There are stop signs, red lights, seat belts. etc. Do these people ignore those too? If they do, we are in more trouble than just with covid. In the meantime, the American death count due to covid is now 132,781 and counting.Exactly , its everyone and no amount government rules, regulations and orders can fix it until we are ready to deal with it as citizens.
Apparently seatbelts, smoking bans, etc. are okay but masks are where they draw the line. The government has rules on driving. At the rate that covid is increasing, we may have to kiss 2020 football goodbye and miss out on another Muschamp season. Aw shucks.Apparently seatbelts, smoking bans, etc. are okay but masks are where they draw the line.

False. The American death count *attributed* to Covid is now 142,781. Meanwhile the CDC last week reports the virus as “less deadly than feared” and then reports that they have been mixing up test data, inadvertently combining positive results with antibody results. But I’m sure the president said something that the minions think they understand enough to chortle over anyway, so carry on.The government has rules on driving. Sometimes it is good to get different perspectives on things. It’s not just death rates and cases and deaths are instantaneous. You may not agree with everything on this article but it’s worth a read.WGAS about positive cases now. The positive cases are not what we need to be worrying about; but the problem is the media that’s ALL they post about—and ALOT of the American public eat it up. In SC, currently the death rate is now at 1.7% (on reported cases) and has been PLUMMETING. DHEC posts that they estimate that over 330,000 South Carolinians have already had the virus, which would put the death rate at 0.25%. Hospitalizations in SC are at 69% of beds occupied—down from 72% last Thursday. This virus, although VERY real, is not even in the ballpark when it comes to a global killer. Do you realize over 5,000,000 people have died worldwide so far this year because of hunger? HUNGER. THAT is a global pandemic. 4,200,000 people worldwide have died from cancer so far this year. THAT is a global pandemic. Over 2,500,000 people have died from smoking related illnesses so far this year. THAT is a global pandemic. The media, the WHO and ALL of the public officials should be ashamed of themselves for changing the way of life for the foreseeable future over what? A virus that has a mortality rate pretty much at the rate of the flu? A virus that has accounted for 1.7% of ALL the worldwide deaths so far this year. The hell with the other 98.3% of humans that have died this year—says the media. Obviously NONE of the morons in charge (at the National, State, or local level—as well as the school district level—YEAH!! Let’s send our kids to school for 2 days in person—the hell with education!) have a damn clue or never took a statistic course in college. They would actually see that this virus doesn’t warrant the bs hysteria. ALL for a virus with a mortality rate just like the flu. Oh well, this is what non stop, 24/7, social media and tv media has done to us.
Sorry never heard that. You got back up for that statement.
That's because there is still a group of Americans who still believe that the whole thing is a hoax being perpetrated by the liberal media. They got their information from Fox when the US got its first positive test results. Fox has since then changed their stance but some people are still holding on to that original viewpoint. Those are the most dangerous people in the country when it comes to spreading this virus. To be fair, it's not just young people being irresponsible. I know someone who had a huge party on Lake Murray yesterday with no masks or distancing. This was a 40-50 age group.
Wait, wait, wait. A couple of months ago everyone was saying that we all already had Covid-19 back in December and that the warm weather from summer would slow the virus down. It's funny how the agenda changes when it gets proven to be completely false.
I know. I remember when it couldn't be passed from human to human, and then masks were no good. Its like we're all just making this up as we go along.
That’s like insisting the world is still flat because that’s what the experts said first. It’s fine to have issues where you have to change when something is still new and you’re trying to figure out what it happening. Prior to the end of January there was no record of human to human transition in the US. The problem is when you are at the end of March and everyone is watching cases grow here and what’s happening around the world and you are still labeling it a hoax. It’s also a pretty bad look when you went nuts over an outbreak that killed 11,000 people worldwide in 2 years while downplaying one that was closing in on that number within months of being identified.I know. I remember when it couldn't be passed from human to human, and then masks were no good. Its like we're all just making this up as we go along.
Not really....there were numerous epidemiologists who have been warning us for years and have been outspoken through all of this. The experts were the ones saying this along with the media. The tune continued to change along the way.
Bias....Media is obsessed with COVID cases, but death rate is what is important
I am referring here to the news media’s obsession with using “new cases” as by far the most common, and often only, data point for evaluating how the nation is coping with the coronavirus crisis.
