He started talking complete gibberish about Americans taking over the airports during the Revoluntionary War. What you do with your insurance is up to you but you said Trump delivered on his campaign promises. One of those central ones was a big beautiful health plan that was going to cover everybody at much, much lower premiums. Problem is, such a plan never existed. It was a blatant lie, he had nothing. As soon as he was elected he told the republicans to come up with something, that something went nowhere. Any idea why he's diverting money from the defense department to pay for the wall when the one big theme of his whole campaign was a border wall that wouldn't cost the American taxpayer anything? Pretty apparent that he hasn't delivered on many things he promised unless you're so indoctrinated into the cult that your reality is what trump tells you it is.

Perhaps you do not know the definition of the word “orator”- “a public speaker, especially one who is eloquent or skilled.” PUBLIC SPEAKING= Prepared remarks. Delivering a speech... Not some pithy hateful attack on someone he doesn’t like, not stammering race baiting remarks to journalists who dare ask him hard questions.. Donald Trump cannot stay on topic for 2 minutes at half his speeches and when he goes off script he tends to spiral into attacks on women, attacks ob minorities (remember all the “fun” comments he made about Mexicans during his campaign?) attacks on handicapped people, or just non-sense babbling/talking in circles and repeating the same things over an over in an incoherent rambling mess. No- again, I need to define what orator is apparently. I very clearly have in both those posts Commented on Obama’s inaction in regards especially to foreign policy as his biggest issues. I was talking specifically about his captivating speaking style And how when our country needed a leader to step up and say the right things he hit the mark and he did so eloquently. The only BS around here is the attempts to skew the meaning of what I said and some posters’ inability to give a black man credit for ANYTHING simply because of the color of his skin and the party he is aligned with. Trump is a bumbling fool in front of a microphone. Go watch his rambling incoherent mess of a speech TODAY where be said George Floyd is looking down and smiling because of the new JOBS REPORT!?! It is not only grandstanding and attempting to adopt the current source of outrage to fit his view, it is completely tone deaf and shows he has no clue what the actual issues are. Trump is a complete moron when it comes to trying to be empathetic to the plight of Americans who do not look like him. He has dramatically outperformed his predecessor on trade and foreign relations wins with our enemies and allies alike since he took office. Say traffic once more for Chicago. I hate driving in that town. I take the train when I can.

I loved Chicago. I could easily drive in that city especially from the suburbs. The company that I worked at for 40 years had headquarters in Deerfield, Ill. It is very close to Chicago. Many times I would have to spend a week at headquarters and would drive into Chicago after work. A buddy of mine taught me how to drive into Chicago from the city. You are either driving towards the lake or away from the lake. I have been on roads I had never been on before and could drive directly to Chicago and then back and never get lost.

Of course, everyone has different definitions of "nice," "good," "vibrant," etc. and that's what leads a lot of folks to live in or near small towns in rural areas. One of the best gun stores I've ever been in is located in Ennis, MT. One of my favorite camping and outdoors stores was Sunrift Adventures in Traveler's Rest (is it still there?). In contrast, I spent a couple of hours in Harrod's last summer and couldn't find a single thing I wanted to buy (among the few things there I could afford) other than a tin of shortbread cookies. To each his own - people tend to gravitate to what they like, but as somebody stated above, one isn't necessarily "better" or "nicer" than the other. They are simply different.

I have a lot of friends live in large metropolitan areas and when we talk about what we like or dislike about where we live, they always say something similar to the quoted language above. They love being close to shopping, restaurants, the arts, etc. But the reality is, they do the vast majority of their shopping at Target or Walmart, the movie theater is their most frequented entertainment venue, and they can count on hand (usually a couple of fingers) the number of times they have stepped into a museum or performing arts center in the last year. In many cases, even if they wanted to visit those places more often, they simply can't afford to do so.

If I lived were you lived, there is no way I would ever want to move. Especially being retired because that means I could be on the road anytime I wanted.
