People from all over the US take tours of the SC State House. When Thomas Clemson is mentioned as the mining engineer who left his fortune to establish Clemson University the common question is "where is Clemson?"

I doubt that really makes any difference! Which cities are FSU or SFU in? Where are Rutgers located? Where is Miami (Ohio)? Where is Ole Miss, Miss St and Southern Miss?? Where Clemson is located has zero to do with anything. They seem to be recruiting great! I guess it matters if a person/recruit wants city or country?

I agree that it makes no difference unless you're a Clemson fan. Then it's a bit embarrassing.
