Who wants to live in big cities?

I stayed in Tokyo for three years and never had a problem. Love that place. You could be out in the city at 3 AM and not have to worry about trouble.
If I could move to anywhere I wanted, it would be Bavarian or Austrian Alps.

I have visited/worked at all three of these places for several weeks at a time and can agree that living at any one, or all, of these places would just be fabulous. I mean, like real fabulous, anytime of the year!

You live in a great city like Erwin and near another great city, Johnson City. Life can't get much better than that.
It does not...I can be in GSP or Knoxville in less than 2 hours also...I have the Appalachian Trail 2 miles from my front door. The only thing I would like to have is a darn Starbucks here in our Food City grocery store. The Johnson City Food City stores have them. That's the only thing I want now since I've gotten my Dollar Tree...lol

LOL

uh, no. Tucker Carlson is not a liberal. No one anywhere thinks that (except you).
He was referring to the son-in-law who was a long time donor to the Democratic Party prior to 2016.

Kushner is unpopular because he supports prison reform and has been telling Trump that he needs to make that a focus for his re-election. He was also reportedly trying to prevent the “law and order” speech from last night in favor of a more unifying message.

The most interesting thing from Carlson’s show last night though may have been this:

Carlson also addressed President Trump directly, calling the protests 'the singular test of his presidency.'

'If you can't keep a Fox News correspondent from getting attacked directly across from your house, how can you protect my family? How are you going to protect the country? How hard are you trying?' Carlson said.

Kushner is unpopular b/c he's failed upward his whole life. His main qualification is being married to Trumps daughter b/c otherwise he's been a slumlord in professional life.

It's not just Fox News correspondents getting attacked. I've seen multiple videos of media being attacked by police. An Australian crew was attacked by police while they were live on the air. Not a good image of America to have on live Australian TV.

So to Carlson - No, trump is clearly not worried about protecting the media. Hell, clergy were gassed and force out of their church for his photo op. If clergy are fair game then the media stand no chance of protection. (I realize that the clergy were likely not the target but probably the victims of sloppy work, however I have not seen or heard an explanation from the WH or an apology.)

Kushner is unpopular for a lot of reasons I was mainly talking about why he’s unpopular among the Fox News crowd.

I agree that multiple news people have been attacked and Carlson just singled his network out in his comment but I think he did it for a reason. He, Hannity and a few others have a lot of access to Trump (and strangely enough Carlson may be the most towards center on a lot of things) and I think his point was that Trump has even abandoned his chosen cheerleaders. You want to let CNN get attacked for your personal agenda fine but why us?

I think the bigger question is why is he even apart of Trumps administration?
I’m going to go with:
A) he’s married to the favorite child
B) people said he shouldn’t have been Involved which only means he needs to be more involved

True that...just proves what I have been saying for the last 3 years. Trump has surrounded himself with incompetence. Not sure it was by design or he's that stupid.

You also have several nice state parks in and around Erwin.

He singled the Fox reporter out because it happened in DC pretty much right in front of the church and the White House. Carlson's point was that Kushner has been influencing Trump to let the local (liberal) governments take care of security and it resulted in ugly dangerous displays of stupidity by left wing nut bags because all of the local governments are run by left wing nut bags. It was easy to make the point that Trump couldn't even protect a reporter from right in front of the White House because Tucker knew this incident was something that a Tucker (Fox) viewer was likely to have already seen.

Yet you being a useful idiot you try and make it into something derogatory towards conservatives without any knowledge of what you are talking about. You socialist never watch Fox News but claim to watch just enough to know they are more biased than your fake news heroes. Yet it would make you look less stupid if you actually had watched the Tucker segment that you are all trying to tell us about. Always throwing your uninformed bias opinions out like you actually know what you are talking about but you haven't even seen the segment. Typical.

I love how RINOs decide everyone is a Socialist and I appreciate you acknowledging that Fox is the most biased “news” channel out there. It’s also funny that you claim I don’t know what I’m talking about while agreeing with the point about Kushner and the protest message.

I know it’s hard for people to grasp but not everyone puts their head in the sands and only wants to listen to people who say things that make you feel good about yourself. I was Carlson a lot. I think a lot of times he has good points and he will stray from the networks talking points. He does annoy me at times with his constant laughing at himself. He’s not Gutfeld so he should leave the laughing at his own jokes alone.

Carlson isn’t self centered enough to pick Fox because it’s “what his viewers would have seen” but you’re right in that it happening across the street does make the point more impactful.

I did the big city life and loved it. Atlanta, DC, Nashville, Orlando. Have spent enough time to say I lived in Ft. Worth but never had an address there. Lived in Charleston for 20 years. I have mixed emotions. I miss some of the cool stuff the big cities have to offer but if I had me druthers, I think I would rather live on one of the small Bahama islands or a hole-in-the-wall in New Mexico. For now, I am stuck in Florence....

Fox news is not the most biased news network, it's CNN and MSNBC.

Tucker's not wrong.

He kinda is wrong. It's not the job of the Federal Government to protect cities and states unless they call for it. Mayors aren't elected to just hand out keys to the cities. Governors aren't hired to just call Washington any time anything goes wrong. These leaders are the ones that should be handling these riots, and they are failing miserably and don't want troops in the streets.

A month ago Trump was a dictator trying to take over the country by threatening to take over the reopening. Now the same people claim he should be rolling troops into every major city in America. Soon as it happens, they will be back to the dictator chant.

No win situation with these hypocrites.

Who has said he needs to roll troops into cities?

Just a libbie talking point. Just like any other President, Trump has made some good and some bad hires.
For umptenth time I’m a Republican. Why is it impossible for a Republican to hate Trump. Why is it impossible for a Republican to think he is immoral and not fit to run this country. And why doesn’t all true Republicans think this way?

I was just agreeing with the other poster.

I think they are all garbage. I lost any interest when they all decided we needed less new and more Larry King opinion personality shows.

Sorry, my bad! I misinterpreted your post.

Dude you can’t comprehend what you do read. How can anyone expect you to understand what you don’t read.

Immorality is a big tent with a lot of people in that tent, including a lot of Dems. Really it depends on who is defining it. There are a lot of charges against this guy, but mostly thrown around talking points regurgitated.

Newsflash..... If you are looking for a role model don't look to ANY politician... Most voted for him because his policies was in line with their beliefs. They didn't vote for him to babysit the kids on the weekends.

People just say that to try and make themselves feel better about voting for scum. There were at least 8 other candidates who all had the same policies and as far as most people know they weren’t living the exact opposite lifestyle of what the conservative party supposedly supports. People voted for him because they thought it was funny that when pushed on policy he threw insults and as a society we love sound bites. Ask him about cheating on his wives he’ll just say “Lock her up!” Ask him about all the small business people he stole from over the years “It was Obama’s fault!” Ask him about all the illegal immigrants hired and VISA abuse at his properties “Build the wall and Mexico is going to pay for it.”

The comment “supported his policies” would have worked if the other candidates said abort everyone and raise taxes but they didn’t.

I voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils between him and crooked Clinton. Has he done some great things so far- absolutely. Has he made some mistakes? Yep.
But come November, and it sits Biden vs Trump, I trust Trump more than I do Biden. As you said, I'm voting for him on his policies, not him as a babysitter.

Liberalism is on display across America. Why would anyone vote for a damn liberal? New York is probably the best example. Cuomo and DeBlasio are perfect models for liberals, democrats, and liberalism.
