Me too, amusing conversation, and obviously not the place for it. Peace.

It's called a teachable moment. Look the kids in their eyes and tell them what you think the commercial is about and why it's wrong. Don't run from itNo smart ass. It has to do with children watching and asking questions.
Dont waste your time bud. The kids on this board are already desensitized to the unfolding liberal agenda of force feeding us the anything goes lifestyle. The morals and values that we grew up with in the 50's-60's are just a fading memory. And until the moral majority FINALLY stands up in UNISON and says ENOUGH, well.......How are hetero couples kissing considered graphic?
Children are used to seeing their parents kissing.
It's called natural behavior.

I agree! Whether homosexual or heterosexual, the disgusting obsession with sex in TV commercials this day is out of line. Football games should be something you can let children watch, but with these ads along with Hardees, Axe, Viagra, etc. you can't let children see the commercials. It inappropriate. You have a gay man trying to make a bargain to give a man a handjob on tv.
It doesn't have anything to do with race. It has to do with morality. Obviously, you have no morals. A person with no moral standards is a weak-minded and gutless person. A person who works hard to uphold their own personality morality and advocate for good moral standards in the society around him or her, is a person of character and integrity. Those are the kind of people I choose to associate with (white or black). And the Bible has nothing to do with bigotry. God created all of us and he has the ultimate say in what is wrong or right. I sir do not and will not ever join "the rest of you on the journey" to an eternity of condemnation. I'll stick with Jesus instead. I pray you change your mind and invite Jesus into your hear. You'll find your life will have purpose in this world and the one to come if you do.Those morals of turning fire hoses on people of different color than you? Those morals of hiding your bigotry behind a book 2000 years old? Your day is gone dude. Life EVOLVES. You need to come and join the rest of us on the journey.
Are you serious, or trolling? You feel so persecuted by being forced to see gay things on TV, that your brain has shut out the metric ton of heterosexually-charged advertising one sees in a given day? You must be trolling.I bet you this much. If it was a woman wanting to flip the guys meat it would never make it on TV but since it's a sweetie boy taking to another guy it's fine. Disgusting way to sell beer.

I can clearly see what he said since its two posts up. What did he mean? It sure looks like he's implying that homosexual innuendo advertising is ok and approved, and heterosexual innuendo advertising isn't. Is that what he meant, since you appear to be attuned to this particular poster? That's not what he said or meant but interpret it the way you would like since I know you will anyway.
Personally I don't care if you are gay or straight or whatever and I don't expect you to judge me on any of my life choices either. It's my life just like it's your life.
BUT, don't expect me to make special accommodations to facilitate you and and I don't expect you to for me.
Live life the way you like but don't force me to accept it. And.... I don't mean just sexual orientation, this goes beyond that to many other things including religion.
So before you label my a conservative bible thumper, think about what I just said.
Accept all but expect the same.

Not persecuted just disgusted and I'm not forced to watch it I just turn the channel. I don't even care whose meat YOU flip and you have most likely worn out many spatulas. Are you serious, or trolling? Oh, man. You got me good. Obviously, if gay people don't bother me enough to be disgusted by them, then the only reasonable explanation is because I'm gay myself. Not persecuted just disgusted and I'm not forced to watch it I just turn the channel. I don't even care whose meat YOU flip and you have most likely worn out many spatulas.
that Heineken ad getting a little old
So, just to clarify: overt sexuality and objectification of women in advertising is A-OK for a 7 year old, as long as it's of the heterosexual variety. Gay sexual innuendo? ABSOLUTELY NOT, MISTER. THAT'S ICKY.
Do I have it?
Was it pointed at a 7 year old? It's a beer commercial. I could be way off here, but I don't think 7 year olds are a huge part of Heinekin's target demographic. So who thinks that stuff pointed at a 7 yr old is okay? Not me.

I'm so tired of the gay agenda in just about everything u see on tv. They're will be a lot of surprised people when they have to meet God Almighty.that Heineken ad getting a little old
I didn't forget what I typed, and that was a response to BSF's nod of approval to the Hardee's commercials with supermodels seductively eating burgers (and let's be honest, those are pretty sweet commercials). Both the Hardee's and Heinekin commercials have appeared on broadcasts of both college and pro football games, both of which are frequently viewed by 7 year olds.Who said I was talking about the that commercial................I was referencing your analogy that a commercial pointed from a heterosexual perspective that objectifies women at a 7 year old would be considered okay. I know you were trying to insinuate people that dislike the commercial for it's obvious attempt at gay humor are somehow misguided by also insinuating that we would approve it from a hetero perspective.
Here, let me help you out with your exact post, I was a journalism major so I am pretty good a reading comprehension: (so here it is again for you in case you forgot you typed it)

Now, which is worse? Softcore near-Cinemax females eating cow? Or a gay joke about meat that literally no 7 year old will understand? The answer is that neither is actually appropriate, I'm just getting a tremendous kick out of everybody defending heterosexual advertising. Pssst. It's still sexual advertising. A gay joke in a commercial isn't going to turn your kid gay. That isn't how it works.
That's cool. We agree. I was just making the point that "flipping your meat" means nothing to a 4-5 year old, or even a 7 year old. They wouldn't even notice it. An image of a woman with BBQ sauce dripping on her rack is going to make some sort of impression. They are both wrong. Nothing more fun than watching a game with my 4 year old grandson and having to monitor the commercials. There's some things we shouldn't be forced to explain to small children. So if your point is they are both wrong, then we agree. Not worried about a beer commercial turning my kid gay, no more than I'm worried that the Hardee's commercial will turn them into an abuser of women. I just prefer not to be forced into discussing either with 4 and 5 year olds. Call me crazy.
You either never had children or if you did weren't very observant raising them.
Children are keen and curious, and are often targets to advertisers in ways adults often don't recognize.
My 4 are grown so...I have two. if they ask questions you answer them truthfully. You can't hide the world from them as seeing a gay couple is Going to happen sooner or later. All you do is explain some men like other men and move on.
It isn't a big deal to tell your kid that there are gays out there. They may giggle because it is different, but that's about the worst that will come out of the conversation . They won't break into tears and go hide in their room. it won't mentally destroy them or give them nightmares like some of the crap on TV
This sounds like a pretty terrible way to get my children to appropriately loathe and fear gay people.I have two. if they ask questions you answer them truthfully. ^^^ obviously hasn't read the book he or she is referencing
Wasnt going to reply to your nonsense. But you stepped up and apologized. But seriously. If you really feel that the country is NOT in moral decline. Then by all means, stick to your statement. I just tend to disagree. And since YOU brought faith into the equation, i will retort. But what i will say is out of obligation and concern for you. That 2000 yr old book isnt just some old book. Think about this. Most of the men in this world are believers. Maybe not Christian. But well educated, Powerful men throughout the world believe in a Supreme being. You dont have to. But it sure helps when dealing with this world and life we live in. I CHOOSE to believe. But what IF your wrong? The way i see it. I have nothing to lose. If i am right and i believe like most people in the world, that i am. Then there is a GOD. If i am wrong, well. Nothing lost. But i have still gained by utilizing the power and guidance of an "old 2000 yr old book" that gives me hope and guidance to navigate lifes tough journey. Thank you for stepping up and apologizing. But again, it really isnt necessary if you truly feel the way that you did in your earlier msg. Peace.I apologize to whomever my post yesterday offended. I haven't been myself lately. Trying to get things turned around. Sorry.
He is gay! Had no business airing that ad!That ad should be pulled. The gay innuendo is disgusting.
Are you implying that God is ok with people believing in him because they're hedging their bets? I'd think an omnipotent being would be mostly aware of motives and such.Wasnt going to reply to your nonsense. But you stepped up and apologized. But seriously.
